SP ran for almost 4k yards at 8 yards a carry. It is a MACHINE!
I’ve got a really good buddy of mine who says that stats against the poor and meek shouldn’t count. Break it down for a slow Gaston County educated boy like myself, what are your running stats against the teams with winning records this year?

I feel like I’m at the Moose Lodge drinking PBR’s with Barry Switzer, Tom Osborne, and Paul Johnson…..just a wealth of knowledge on how to break down Wing T/Wish Bone/Red Bone…..

On maxpreps you can look up their game by game stats. They actually only rushed for 3996! LOL
350 against Hickory on 57 carries, 237 against TCR on 29 attempts, 348 against Mt. Pleasant on 28 attempts, 112 against Ashbrook on 39 carries, 238 against Huss on 37 carries, 215 against Crest on 56 carries, 318 against NC on 31 carries, 458 against KM on 43 carries, 486 on Forestview on 41 carries, 342 on the Ambassador Christians on 45 carries, 285 against Erwin on 34 carries, 410 against Monroe on 42 carries, and 197 against Crest the 2nd time on 44 carries.

They only threw the ball for 490 yards, with almost 1/4 of them coming against Erwin, which seems low even by SP standards.

I love the Flexbone.. Its like Novocain, give it time , always works

Weird fact.... Shelbys QB threw for only 32 yards less (In the state title game) than South Point threw for the entire season
thats crazy....

It's a blast to watch with the right QB and FB. Shame more colleges don't run it.

REDbone is the great equalizer....and the best defense in HS ball. Cant score if you dont have the ball!!!

Slightly Disagree. Over the last 10 years pass offenses (who know what they're doing) can maintain ball possession despite clock possession. Points win games (the lack of or plenty of). Teams that can't hold onto the ball lose games. Is an INT by pass offense worse than a lost fumble by run offense?
Straight wing T is a better help to defense than what Sp runs. Still that doesn't matter if you fumble multiple times in any one particular game you lose whether you run it a lot or throw it a lot.

I’ll give it to you. You almost went 124 hours without bashing SC, SC schedule, or the conference SC plays in.

I don’t understand how you claim not to bring up SC when anyone can do a quick search and see otherwise, if they care to do so.

Keep up the good fight, if you say it enough times someone may even agree with you.
Go do your search and see if these conversations occurred on a 5a/6a board or somewhere else.
Everybody in Gaston Co. and abroad knows SC and their backers are obsessed with SP through the lens of their inferiority complex.

Sure. A quick search of the screen name of “DeBoer31” in the last year on the 5a forums for the key world of “cramer” brings back 17 responses.
  • The first one was May 9, 2025 when you brought up “SC recruiting” in an “East Gaston HC is open” thread.
  • Nov 20, 2025 you brought up “St. Cramer refusing to play SP…” on a thread “What happened to South Point Football?”
  • Nov 29, 2025 you labeled “St. Cramer as playing in Pop Warner League” and called us “fury’s trying to troll” in “Crest at South Point” thread
  • Dec 8, 2025 brought “beloved St. Cramer” in a thread about “Crest @ Hickory”
  • Jan 28 2026 bashed SC and the whole of 3a/4a when talking about Amb Christian
  • 2026 5a Contender Thread – Hard to sort this one out but when DeBoer commented the first comment was about SC on Jan 30, 2026. Then you followed it up with another shot at SC Baseball.
Now go do the same search for my name on 5a/6a and let us know where I have commented on anything negatively that was not a direct response to your negative SC narrative. Absolutely the conversations happened on the 5A/6A board because that is where you took all your shots.
This nonsense about SC having an inferiority complex and obsessed with SP, I am not sure how even the most rabid SP fan can spin that tale. Heck, half of SC folks graduated from SP and still see SP as the golden standard of HS football. The difference between the two school fan bases you have one(SC) excited about having a competent coach and a building competitive program and on the other hand you have another fan base that takes it personally that is happening. Some of the fans at SP feel like SC cant get better without it affecting SP I guess. That is an obsession, but not from the SC side.

The only "obsession" I have is defending the hard work the men in the SC program have done, and will continue to do, to better themselves while you take every chance to degrade that. Luckily, you are the only one to seem to care enough about your agenda to come on here and keep this narrative going.

So keep your SC bashing going if you must, but we all get it and its getting tiresome. SC can never be good, and if we happen to have the appearance of success, it's because we cheated, have a horrible conference, recruited, scared to play the MIGHTY SP Red Raiders, etc. The way you make us sound we are halfway toward becoming a Cleveland County team(sarcasm)!

So...99% on the 5a/6a page then, right?
I don't have time to "research". I have a job. What do you consider bashing SC? Stating the truth?
Again...you're on a 5a/6a board. I'm sure if you go research the % of your time/responses here vs. 3a/4a it will tell the tale. I do love how SP is scared of SC in your tale.
Yall just start working hard this past year in football? Not working hard in basketball I don't guess?

Speaking of basketball….saw where you had a player break your single game scoring record the other night with 45 points….just another born and bred Belmont kid like all of your student athletes are….wait a minute, I think I seen him play in middle school but it wasn’t at Belmont….matter of fact SP’s 2 leading scorers are not from Belmont, but you guys just keep doing it cleaner and better than everyone else with all the homegrown kids….your overall excellence with nothing but Belmont kids is inspiring….glad to know there is still one program that does it the right way…way to go!!!

I wasn't aware SP played basketball honestly. I equate basketball right up there with winter ice curling.
You miss the point / misdirect as usual though. I guarantee you nobody in Belmont is recruiting basketball players. Also, if they're wanting to go to a top basketball school.... SP is the choice?
Do better.
