What say you?

There are enough of the "I am going to wait and see", "show me" and "Kool-Aid" posts on the forum. Time to put up some actual numbers and, if you want, state which games are wins and losses. I will go first.

Cincinnati - W
Akron - W
Houston Christian - W
Michigan - L - wouldn't be surprised with a W
Michigan St - W
Maryland - W
Minnesota - W
Northwestern - W
USC - L - don't necessarily like the matchup with their offense
UCLA - W
Penn St - L - I just think they are too good this season
Iowa - W

9-3 and a decent bowl in decent weather, a lot of fans make the trip.

Can I make my prediction after the Cincinnati game? It is impossible to know what we are going to look like with two new coordinators and multiple transfers. I feel like we should win 9 of the games we play...10 after the bowl with the new personal

Cincinnati - W - Makes me nervous because they have a mobile QB. I think if we can weather the storm of it being close for the first half, we will outlast them and win by 14+. If it is close for 3 quarters we could crumble. - Unranked
Akron - W - Easy - Debut at #25
Houston Christian - W - Easy - Move up to #23
Michigan - W - They lost too much on D to the draft. I'm not impressed with Moore either. - Jump to #17 after a 16 point victory.
Michigan St - W - Could be one of the stupid losses of the year, but I'll be optimistic because I think they suck. #14 even after looking shaky.
Maryland - W - Locksley might be gone by this time already - #10 after blowing them out.
Minnesota - L - We should beat them, but Fleck seems to have our number. Lot's of talk about cracking the Top 10 again. Fall to #18 after a bad loss.
Northwestern - W - Closer than anticipated just because of history #16 after some movement below us.
USC - W - I think we get it done. They travel and come into a hostile environment. #11 - Feeling good again after a good victory.
UCLA - W - Not pretty, but get it done. #9 going into a highly touted matchup with PSU.
Penn St - L - Their running backs eat us up and we fold on the road. #15
Iowa - L - Same ole, choke the game away. Finish #20 for the regular season and people are pissed because we won 9 games. Will talk about how the only loss should have been to PSU, but we choked against Iowa and Minny when it mattered.

I am sticking with 8 wins. That alone will require a winning conference record. I don’t believe we are ready to win all the tossup games. Losses to Mich, Minn, USC and PSU. Start off 5-1, then win/lose every other game to stumble to 8-4.

Despite our recent argument, I have to say that I think your prediction here is mine as well. Our only losses are to Michigan, USC and PSU. Sadly, I think we will be annihilated and embarrassed at PSU. Our only non competitive game of the year.

A lot of Nebraska fans travelled to Ireland to see a blowout against Northwestern.
I guess a conference opponent with a recent history of playing in the conference title game is the same as a MAC team coming off 3 straight losing seasons. If Nebraska played Akron or Kent St in Ireland, maybe a comparison or if Michigan was playing Purdue or Rutgers, then maybe the same.

I sense a little more optimism this year. The schedule is favorable. I won’t say easy because you don’t know what teams are going to be like. But we have a lot of home games.
I’ll say 9 wins. I think we purged bad coaching on offense. We can’t be worse in special teams

I say this every year these type questions are asked and it's the main factor, it's all about staying healthy with key players.

I have noticed over the last ten years that this team has ability to lose to anybody at anytime. Even a game against 1-11 Northwestern isn’t safe.

Can we stop losing to teams that finish in the bottom half of the B1G? That’s basically all that Iowa does. Doesn’t seem like a huge ask.

Were more likely to lose to Minnesota than Maryland because of a short week and the Terps will be starting a true freshman..

I expect the atmosphere in KC will be like the Colorado game in Lincoln last year and Dylan getting off to fast start.

This is exactly my thought as well.
Winning the games that we are supposed to win is not a thing yet.

When they start beating the teams they should beat, I will change my prediction from 6-6 to 8-4 or possibly 9-3.

Told myself I wasn't gonna drink the Koolaid again... just too hard to ignore

Cincinnati - W
Akron - W
Houston Christian - W
Michigan - W -Someone spiked my Koolaid! - I believe this will be the game that gets the talking heads spewing hopium
Michigan St - W - Will be closer than we'd all like as the fellas will be tested after a high stakes win against the boys in blue
Maryland - W
Minnesota - W - Gonna be a black & blue slugfest
Northwestern - W
USC - W - Tough game but at home and the crowd should be rocking!
UCLA - W - Am I the only one surprised by how many are calling for UCLA to win this one? lots of lessons learned from last year not to be repeated
Penn St - L - Measuring Stick on where this team really is - That's the test of all tests
Iowa - W - Huskers bring the pain for what happened last year!

So, that's 11-1... I do think it's more likely that we'll have a loss against someone we shouldn't along the way that will get the men refocused... in the end I'm saying 10-2...
