This season and next: JY gone; Geo and Myles in 50/50 range; believe Ron will be back. On to how this year benefits next:

—Cliff got a lot of PT;
—JJ got a feel for college game and a bit of PT;
—Paul should have more confidence in shot;
—Mag showed enough to be hopeful;
—success should help recruiting;
—open portal, open portal, open portal.

I'm hoping either Oskar or Reiber take a big leap. Mag has looked good in limited time. Expect him to be in the rotation

So many huge unknowns and question marks.

Obviously who comes back, and who we get via transfer portal will be a huge part of the equation. And many will rightly focus on that.

Based on the players that we know we have and know are almost certainly back, I think the following development in their games are critical in the following order.

1. Can Cliff development and make strides as big, if not bigger, than Myles Johnson had in his off seasons on the banks. Cliff has a long way to go to fill Myles shoes. I didn't have high confidence with him out there to reliably defend and rebound the way Myles could give us. He has to make progress towards that ASAP. But I do think Cliff's offensive upside is a lot greater than Myles - can he show that part of his game next season ?

2. Can Ron fix his shooting woes in the offseason and recapture some of this outside shooting magic? If he can, then next year's team is in very very good shape. I have my doubts , but its gotta be focus #1 for him this offseason.

3. Paul M & Jaden - who develops into an offensive threat first? Paul showed signs of being able to hit the open 3. Jaden is a complete unknown. We're going to need both of these players to become threats on the offensive end.

4. Coaching staff changes & adjustments . Especially for offensive end. Who stays and goes on coaching staff? What do they focus on developing the team on the offensive side in 2021-22?

JY is gone.

I think it's a good thing that Geo goes. If he stays that is great. But when Geo passed it to Ron to shoot the game winner, that was possibly symbolic too. This needs to be Ron, Caleb, Paul and Tez's team next year.

We also need to see what Mag, Reiber, Oskar, Miller and Jaden can become too. The team was fresh last year and figured out their team identity. It felt as if this year's team got stale with each other. A shakeup is needed. It might be ugly at times next year, but that always comes with change on a college basketball team.

I would hope that Myles comes back though. He has only had 3 years here. And he is still needed in the frontcourt along with Cliff. If Myles goes, that will cost us a few games next year. Getting the Penn State center as a transfer would help numb that loss though a lot

If Cliff continues to work (and given his history, one would expect nothing less), he's got the potential to get on the NBA's radar next season. Paul was very limited offensively last year, but showed offensive improvement this year, especially with the development of his three point shooting. Jaden getting his feet wet this year will only help him to be part of the rotation next year. If it wasn't for this free year of eligibility, Reiber and/or Mag probably would have redshirted this year anyway. Caleb wasn't supposed to play this year but getting that experience, assuming he's healthy going forward, should only help him. Tez had a tough year but you would have to figure he is going to be motivated to put in the work to have a much better year next season, regardless of whether he plays at RU or somewhere else.

Honestly, I think Myles could not care less about the NBA....

No, no it wasn’t, at all. It was a play they run all the time, and ran again last night, specially because Pikes thought it would be there and RHJ could make the shot. That’s all. Don’t look THAT far into you’ll drive yourself nuts lol!

It will turn out to be a figurative passing of the captain badge from geo to ron. For ron to have it be his team geo needs to go.
