I mean if we don't have an edge with grandpa being the former AD I am not sure what other advantage you can have

Would be nice. Despite the AD relationship i doubt we land him.

he should be a lock based on who is grandpa is if that is true? Unless he is being recruited by Nova that is. I do not see why we could not land him. He is a NJ guy and its not like he is being recruited by juggernauts...Va Tech, SMU, BC, and RU

Hes class of 2019. Very early in his recruitment. 90+ rated PG when all is said and done. I dont see a correlation to an alum/AD to us guaranteeing a kid. People go to schools based on how it fits them and their goals, not based on their grandpas affiliation. With that being said, would be nice to have a true pg come in along with some bigs.

There is absolutely a correlation between family legacy/affiliation and school choice. You are right there are no guarantees but this type of thing certainly can't hurt.

Someone posted last weekend that Paul is not the grandson of Bob Mulcahy. I don't know if that is correct or not.

He is not his grandson. Heard this pretty directly. Saw him play this weekend vs Oak Hill ( and their roster of D1 players). Paul looked the part and he is just a soph. Also, he is a good kid.

Its too early getting excited about a 2019 recruit.Lets see what Pikiell and staff do with 2018 recruiting which will have a dramatic impact with at least 4 current players leaving.

How many kids from a school like Gil St. Bernard's go to RU? It's got to be a minuscule number.

Like zero. Last D1 players were jaren sina who went to SH and now is at GW And Tyus Battle who transferred from Gil as a senior to st joes and is now at Syracuse.

There have been a couple other recent patriot league guys.

I meant just going to RU as regular students- also zero or close to zero I'm guessing. I'm think we're all aware of their basketball talent.
