Never too early to look ahead to the 2019 class. I'm stoked to see what this staff can do with a full year to recruit! What are areas we'll need to address next class? I'm guessing OL and DL?

On the OL:
4 star TOP 100 Will Putnam is at the top of the list IMO
4 star Trevor Keegan whose from Illinois.
4 star 6.0 OT Quinn Carroll whose from Minnesota.

On the DL:
Only 3 offers out to DTs at the moment.
Jalar Holley looks to be the best. I'm sure there will be plenty of offers flying at DTs soon.

Garrett Nelson is already N. I wonder how many DEs we'll take next year.
I really want Isaiah Williams from St. Louis, Mo. He was here for FNL and he's that dynamic athlete that could flourish Frost's O.

Ah yeah forgot about them. I heard that LB just received an offer from Florida.

Henrich already has offers from FL, PSU, ND, Wisconsin, IA (his dad played tennis there), Minn and others...MANY more will be on the way.

Start with the 500-mile radius - the 2 Burke kids and Duggan obviously, but there's also some serious talent in St. Louis. Piper out of Norfolk Catholic could help us on the line. I think Sargbah will get an offer after a semester at IWCC. He'd be a good complement to Mo Washington in the backfield.

Find out who the top JUCO defensive tackles are, and send Ryan Held after them hard. Hopefully we can find a couple good ones in the high school ranks as well.

Keep bringing in speed on both sides of the ball. Owen Pappoe would be great since we missed out on JJB, he had us in his Top 3 under the old staff. I really want Jake Smith out of Arizona, but so does everybody in the country. His speed in this offense would be exciting.

too early

Too early? We are late! WISCO already has 8 commits including 3 4*s. The staff coached UCF to the detriment the 2019 class, and now the coaches are taking a whole week off! Just kidding, I am happy with how hard the staff is working AND the players they are targeting. Lots of local talent for 2019, should be a banner year! #GBR

Piper and Kautz from NC, Kautz with his speed would fit will into the O, Piper already has other offers but i think he goes N if they offer. the Burke boys are just flat out studs and after reading the comments from the back out of north who is going to IW, i don't see him coming back to play for the skers, plus we already have a shitload of talent in the backfield.

It was inevitable that NU would have a late start to the 2019 Class
This staff was scrambling like a one armed paper hanger trying to cobble together this class
Hats off to Wisconsin

The spring game will be an awesome showcase for the list of kids you posted- who are in driveable distance. Im expecting Mr Moos is going to pull out all the stops to make this something very special and unique.

Like you- Im really impressed by how hard this staff works
Frost's wife and first child/newborn are still in Orlando and he hasnt seen them much at all. Everyone is going to see the results of these young bloods efforts and sacrifices- compared to the guy whos taking his wife to a 3 hour baseball game in game week 1.

Yeah, I agree with everything posted here so far, and I am 100% behind snagging both of those star players at Burke and Duggan. If we could get them, plus The Garretts that we already have in our pocket, that's a hell of a way to start a class.

Anyone know how big the 2019 class is going to be? I was thinking somewhat smaller than this one, but maybe around the same size?

I dont think Pelinis guys embraced recruiting- and I dont think Rileys staff worked anywhere near as hard and fast as Frosts staff their-results were almost identical.

So low energy and then uninspired/reluctant recruiting means there may be plenty of meat left on the bone- to make some real hay recruiting wise in the next few years.

There are 16 Seniors on the current roster. Four players need to leave this season to get to 85. The Seniors that make sense to grad transfer out are Newell and maybe Keyan Williams or Ozigobo (I doubt Williams or Oz will).

If it is only Newell out of the Seniors, that means 3 other players will be leaving. I have no idea who they will be (Miles, Barnett, Brokop, Neal, a TE, a QB?).

I would imagine Frost will over sign by 3 again and there will be a couple casualties as well. So my complete and uneducated stab in the dark would be 18-21?

Going to be very difficult
None of the 3 are really "Nebraska" guys down deep
Been a long time since a bunch of blue bloods and even SEC teams have come sniffing in these parts for multiple local players in the same year
If anyone can pull it off- its the guys now in charge. Would have had little hope with the 2 previous staffs

Well, given SF and his staff and their attitudes, I bet they make some serious progress in a year for kids from a school an hour away.

Newell has already announced plans to transfer, IIRC. Maybe Ben Miles beats feet, also Kenyan Williams, who might be in line to grad transfer. NU has 6 TEs on scholarship and I would think Frost won't be using a lot of 2 TE sets. Tre and Luke's health status is up in the air as well.
