What I've sadly noticed at work is the occasional poke fan gets a little offended that we have an official name for this series now. So I plan to bring it up as often as possible when discussing the upcoming game. I highly recommend trying it out.

Also, does anyone know if Pokenmike will be available do another QandA session with us this year? I have so many questions.

Even coach Gundy was positive about the series with Tulsa and went on to say “it makes a lot of sense for the state of Oklahoma” and “the game is good for both OSU sand TU for a number of reasons”

So the sour puss osu fans can suck it. It’s a good game all around.

after reading the comments from the OU AD about the high cost of OOC Group of 5 one home game only, I'm starting to understand why the AAC, including TU, are getting home and homes or 2-1s with P5 programs. Sort of sad to see South Dakota get $575 for a 70-14 whipping when TU got $1.3M for a 7-28 game. Tulane got $1.9M for a 6-24 loss at Auburn last weekend.

I'm curious as to how much BOK is paying for the naming rights and how that money is being split between OSU and TU.

I love the series......OSU and TU need to play every year, these are two really good programs that are to close to not play each year.....and there have been some of the most exciting games ever played in the state between these two teams...........getting a good stage on ESPN 2 will really help get the greatness of this series out there to the non OSU/TU fans......we need to play each year in all sports

Wouldn't it REALLY make the series great if we made it interesting and stole one from you?

I think the series will only be interesting if it is competitive, as in no half time blowouts leading to 59-21 finals. I've left the last few games in Stillwater at the half to make it home as the gun sounds to end the game.

I hope they keep the series up for a long time. Parents are TU grads/fans/season tickets holders and me the same for OSU. So it is a fun family rivalry and we each get to go to a very close “road” game.

I think the game is a plus for both schools.

Now the one thing I don’t like is TU’s silly rules for tailgating. At OSU, I can tailgate almost anywhere I want and there is not a cost. I am having to pay $200 to tailgate on the commons at TU (I could join my family, but we will have too much orange )

I’m a graduate of OSU, but lived on TU’s Campus while my wife went to TU. She then went on to OU. I’ve been to plenty of TU games with my wife, and friends. I use to go out on Friday nights, drink a 30 case, and we’d kick field goals after having a good night out.

TU, and OSU hold a special place for me.

I’d wish OSU, OU, TU, and UA would find ways to play each other annually.

I think it would be good for all the schools and easy drives for everyone.

The basketball thing would be easy. Set up a 3 year rotation. All 4 go to Fayetteville and play a double header one year, to Tulsa the next, and to OKC the next. OU/OSU would never play unless agreed to because of their conference schedule. I am pretty sure this would sell out the event in all 3 places and could be one of the iconic college basketball nights in the country that isn't a college conference rivalry.

Actually not a bad idea. Reminds me of the college classic that we used to have around here previously

I have no idea why schools don't do things like that more often. It's not like it's hard. I guess ORU / UALR / Arky State could whine. But who cares. 4 schools with really rich traditions having close rivalries. It would be good for all the schools' recruiting too.

The women's basketball programs in OK used to play the Bertha Teague Classic between OU, OSU, TU, and ORU and it would rotate between the 4 campuses. It was actually a pretty entertaining day of basketball. One of the only times I sawTU beat OU was when they played this classic at the Mabee Center.
