Possible bad news for an RPI builder.

The Appalachian State Mountaineers will replace the Florida State Seminoles in the 2017 Puerto Rico Shootout, multiple sources told FanRag Sports on Tuesday.

The Iowa State Cyclones, South Carolina Gamecocks, Tulsa Golden Hurricane, UTEP Miners, Illinois State Red Birds, Boise State Broncos and Western Michigan Broncos will all also highlight the field.

Yep, FSU would look much better on the resume than happy appy. I wonder when they'll announce the bracket?

I keep wondering if the almost total collapse of the financial stability of the
Puerto Rican Govt. will interfere with the tournament in any way....They
seemingly have no way of paying their debts....

Even without FSU, the field looks strong....I wish it was stateside.....

looking forward to seeing the schedule and the dates. I and maybe +1 or 2 might be able to swing this. I've been to PR twice and in the airport another 4-5 times. Would enjoy going back.

Nice that we're not on Illinois St side, we might only play them 3 times in two years.

Tough first game. They return 5 of top 6 scorers. Of course we do too.
