This is a typical Mark Pope year. He has a career 63.6% lifetime win percentage. 19-12 is a 63.1% win percentage. It’s who he is.

Yea this is going to be Calipari’s best team there I knew that when he left. But they aren’t going anywhere. Calipari will never come close to another NC. It’s why he had to go, but you don’t follow that up with MARK F’N POPE.
He managed an elite 8 last year...

Tubby was a lot of things but I still loved Tubby. I never loved Pope.
The last couple of years of Tubby is what I feel like 2 years of Pope has been like. However, at least Tubby was starting to get some good signings by the end of his tenure and who knows, may have gone on another run. Seemed like he went in cycles a bit. But I'd kill for a coach with Tubby's x and o skills.

Calipari hasn’t been to the elite 8 in almost 10 years. The guy sucks. And last year he was gifted an easy road and still couldn’t make it long. Cal is trash. This team isn’t going anywhere. You can’t coach at UK if you’re as ****** as calipari it’s why he’s at Arkansas. He cares nothing about winning anymore which is why he doesn’t. Ohio state even said no to Calipari. It took a program like Arkansas to finally say yes.
The issue is pope, not keeping cal.
A loss to Ole Miss or LSU in Nashville would be a much worse reflection on Pope/his program than losing today did.

They let Florida play harder than them until about 6 minutes to go, Then expect to go 100% to try to comeback! Not a great recipe for success Mark. Pretty sad effort for 34 minutes! I will say , even though I was sick to my stomach with their effort most of the game, I was praying and hoping they would pull it out in the end.

What are you talking about. Young players haven’t won a title in years. And you were flat wrong about the elite 8 last season. Calipari is trash. I’ve watched the guy for 20+ years closely, went to college in Mem when he was there. I’m very familiar with him. Calipari had to go, no he didn’t make an elite 8, and no freshman led teams haven’t won jack **** in years. You must be new at this.
It’s talent AND experience that wins championships. And Calipari rarely has enough. He won’t this year and then he’s retiring not long after that. YOU will learn. Sound like an Arkansas fan: and if so, boy are you in for a rude awakening.

Agree. As the season has progressed, I started to realize that we actually had enough talent to be a much better team. Can't really blame this disaster on a lack of talent. We have more talent than most of the teams we lost to.These are very talented players. They are not a good fit nor are they coached.
