DL and WR really the only question mark imo and it's not a question of talent for me. I say QB isn't a question mark only because I truly believe we cannot be worse than we were last year. If we are.....I haven't had a miscalculation this bad since the Croom years when I predicted 7-5 nearly every year!

We do have a good roster. Don't agree that Pickering will start at DT, especially right away. I'm also in wait and see mode with Payton, just don't trust our WR's until they prove that they are SEC caliber again. But there is reason for optimism and the schedule gives us an opportunity to start strong.

Honestly, I think WR is going to be pretty good. This WR group is as talent as any we’ve had outside of maybe 2014.

At least it's complimentary, but still shoddy work by SDS as usual. Darryl Williams isn't a newcomer to the starting lineup, Pickering isn't going to start at DT and may not even play a whole lot this year, and whole WR two-deep is out of whack compared to almost everyone else's projections (and spelled Farrod Green's name wrong).

I do too. It’s one of the best WR groups we’ve ever had at state physically/talent-wise imo. As we all know, the problem has been catching the ball and getting the ball to the WRs. Hopefully they take a big step forward this year.

Correct. I didn’t find anything to be wooly about per se. I am not as chapped about last year because I was prepared for the growing pains. So I think we could be pretty competitive and certainly on defense. Losing 1st rounders doesn’t mean they are replaced with walkons. Tommy and KT will push each other and the wrs know that the qb isn’t going to run the ball 20 times a game in desperation. Tight end will be the big surprise for me. I’ve just rarely ever seen us use one since the late 90’s with Madkin.

I remember thinking we would be undefeated with Mullen returning for a humbling he would always remember. Then UK happened. Then UF happened. I guess I picked the wrong decade to quit sniffing glue.

Please don't misunderstand. I want MSU to win every game they play in every sport. I have just gotten my hopes up before, and last year singed my soul.

I do agree teams are gonna force Joe to pass, while stacking the box. I believe TS to be an above average QB that will make some teams pay for that decision, & a couple of those will be tossup games that we win for underestimating the passing game. Tommy's got a live arm, throws a very catchable ball, & a good desicion make.

Guidry is focused on a shot at the NFL & has been working his tail off. He catching what is thrown his way. Hes got all the other tools to be a good WR, he just needs to catch it, TS will get it to him.

Payton, by mid-season will be a name the SEC knows, & Whop is lighter, quicker, faster, and stronger. One of if not the best O-line in the SEC with 2 studs in the backfield. Be ready boys. This ain't your grandpa's State offense.

The roster doesn't get you wooly looking at the 2 deep?

Yea, I’d say that is something to be encouraged by. I’m getting too old to get as wooly or as despondent about football as some.

You may be onto the real value of Moorhead. If he keeps building at this rate, we will be a different kind of team than we’ve ever fielded.

Reminds me of so many good teams that were so beat up by the end of the year, we had difficulty closing the deal.

top notch research...

The Bulldogs return one of the best offensive lines in the SEC, with the lone newcomer in senior center Darryl Williams.

Whop missed two practices to return home to deal with family matters. There has been no indication from MSU or Whop that he has left the team. It might turn out that’s true, but let’s hope not.

The school isn't going to give any indication till the NCAA rules on if they'll accept the punishment we've offer on tutorgate.I expect that to happen soon.

JoeMo has done a great job adding depth. Long run .. we will be better than last year. Fact. 1st team D may not be as good as '18 but O will be way better and depth is way better.
