well 11 is a little better than the 13-14 I expected before the regular season started
The program is getting a Mulligan from me this year, next year I expect better.
On a nice note: the team has a pretty good chance to advance in the B1G tourney.
That makes me feel good, but without a song to accompany that feeling until the win

replying just to bump this ahead of his post about tourny which his op , in thread he started, should have been put in this thread.
Never understod the need to start new threads on an issue that already is being discussed.
They certainly turn the ball over a lot.
Even with the turnovers they lead by 4 after 1 quarter. They could be up much more if they didn’t turn it over as much.

With our relentless hustle, we always have a chance. We just have to play smarter and somehow, move the ball as we all have been waiting for them to do. Got to get cleaner shots and knock em down. If we do that, we're in good shape.
Usually, the key is when someone along with Smikle can get it going(Kai, Awa, KB). We know what we're getting from Kaylene and Chyna.

Ladies deserve a lot of credit. Expectations were not very high given the hand they were dealt. I think a win in the B1G tournament was not something anyone expected, including me,
a letter of commendation is a great idea, but as far as I'm concerned I think forgetting the low bar that made this season so successful is something I'd like to forget.
Though believe your right that Coquese deserves recognition for the great job her and her assistants ( Tasha,Nikki & John) done this year .

Along with my praising the players for their play which made the type of disastrous season I expected a much better one than that.
You seem to be wired in on the women's team, MADHAT. Do you see us picking up some quality players through the portal this year, or recruiting improving after this next year. Coach Coquese seems to be pretty dynamic and has the team giving its all.

I try to be an optimist but think the better portal talent will go elsewhere, but will get one or two that fit what CW has in store for program providing good depth.
HS talent needing a little development , not ready for prime time, will fill out next years recruiting crop.
But really your guess , or anyone's on recruiting ,will be as good as mine.
It's just nice to feel recruiting won't be a drag because no one wants to come, just a fix the program with those that fit Coach C's vision of what the program needs to reach the top again
