And he is not doing it with the flashy players like Romo, Owens, Moss et al.

Perhaps it has to do with Nashvegas being a smaller market, but they've won with very little fanfare. It's the quietest I remember a team going 10-0.

that there were people saying that Fischer should have been fired just a couple years ago. If I could put all of the characteristics of a great football coach together, Jeff Fischer would be the result. He's a hell of a coach and he actually cares about his players, no matter how much more money they make than him. Go TITANS!!!!

We are playing without Vanden Squash right now. Once he gets back, the d-line will be virtually unstoppable again. Hell, it's almost unstoppable without his big ***. A good running back combo with CJ and Lendale, Collins is playing like a veteran qb should, and as it looks today, the road to Tampa will lead thru Nashville since Pittsburgh is 3 games back. Oh, and then there's Jeff Fisher, quite possibly the best coach in the League. You may be right, but I just don't see it. Defense wins Championships and the Titans defense is too damn good.

I just dont see it happening. Its going to be a tough road through the playoffs for a team like Tennessee, they are good, and I hope they make it, I just dont see it happening. And New York G men are the best team in football right now.

Looking at Net Points, the Titans are up 113 and the Giants are up 122. Nobody else even comes close.

Yesterday, the Titans were playing with a 3rd string CB on one side for most of the game and some 2nd and 3rd string defensive linemen and didn't miss a beat. That's what's been impressive so far about them, is that even the unheralded players are stepping up and playing well. They may not have as much starting talent as some other teams (the Giants come to mind), but their second and third teamers fill in well when needed.

There are going to be some tough games for the Titans to close out the season (Jets, Steelers, Colts), but there will also be some (on paper) fairly easy ones (Lions, Browns, Texans). If they can "hold serve" on the easy ones and win just one of the three difficult ones, or beat the Jets and Steelers (both home games for them, by the way) and one other (or some combination of losses for those teams), they have home field locked up.

I'm a Titans fan, but never expected the team to do this well this early. They aren't going to win pretty and blow people out, but I think they have what it takes to win it all (and so do about 5-6 other teams at this point). Still, anything can happen, any given Sunday, yada yada yada...

I think the AFC East is going to be an interesting division to watch the next 6 weeks. If Buffalo wins tonight, the Jets would be 7-3 and everyone else in the division, including the "mighty" Patriots and "lowly" Dolphins, would all be tied at 6-4.

I thought the Titans were beat yesterday going into the half. They made some adjustments and looked like a completely different football team. I have no delusions about us going undefeated, but I can easily see a super bowl. Kerry Collins bowl it is. For anyone in the media that says the Giants are better, I believe they lost to a Cleveland Browns team by three touchdowns, and it was the Browns' second win after beating a winless Bengals team the week before.
