Nebraska is 0-7 in attempts to get bowl eligible the last two seasons.
A few things go into this. Namely, our weak non conference schedule. But also, I think two things:

1: we have no depth and injuries really hinder us as the year goes

2: we get exposed as the year goes on. People find things that work. We never adjust or find a counter. This is coaching. Our coordinators need to do better. Namely offense. Defense was fine last year. Our secondary is a major weakness this year from the beginning.

I seriously don't know what the answer is. To play SO many games so close and rarely showing the ability to pull some of these games out. You would think just the law of averages would bail us out a time or two.

Wisconsin definitely looks beatable, a win. The two remaining road games vs. USC and Iowa will be a bettor’s gold mine. Take the kids to the zoo day.

Nebraska will finish 6-6 and play in a December bowl game. A win there = 7-6. Many will say it’s a disappointing season but most analysts will see 7-6 with a bowl win as undeniable progress.

In that scenario, NU will have come down the stretch 2-5.

You think NU beats Wisconsin?

I’m hoping the Huskers do not go to a bowl. The thought of going to the GameAbove Sports Bowl in Detroit is nauseating.

Yes but would also be the first winning season since 2016 and also ends a 7 year bowl drought. I see quite a few “fire Rhule” comments - that won’t even be a remote possibility under the suggested 7-6 scenario.

I'm with you. Like I want to watch these coaches and players fimble, **** around for 4 more quarters and get embarrassed on TV again. No thanks. Just stay home and play NCAA Football. You might think you're good at that. Not.

He's not gonna be fired regardless of his record next year or even the year after. I'm not one that's saying he will or should get fired this year, cause thats not gonna happen.
