I don't think so. Last year Michigan State and the Zags walked all over us because we had no one who could stop their big big men. Save Frank for just such occasions. He's grown
He is huge for sure, but he really looked heavy footed out there. He has no skill outside of dunking. I am concerned with our 5 situation.

A lot of that was because AJ was afraid to get some of the other player's sweat on his uniform.

Frank has not been on the floor much over the past year. I want to give him more time before dismissing him as a strong backup center. Potter has yet to touch the floor. So, I am not expecting him to be a factor this year.

It's early and only two (2) exhibition games, but here are the rebounding stats for N'Diaye and McBride:

N'Diaye: 51 minutes, 3 Off, 6 Def = 9 Total Rebounds, 15 points on 18 FGA
McBride: 29 minutes, 2 Off, 6, Def = 8 Total Rebounds, 9 points on 9 FGA
Oh nooooooo. Cancel Christmas.

The last 7 minutes at center, the small lineup actually was pretty smart and it‘s not exactly small. 6’9, 6’8, 6’8, 6’6 and 6’4 then they had 6’7 Kam sub in for Alex. Probably should havd done that earlier

I wonder if this was what Pope was talking about when he says they force you to do unconventional things.

Good to play at least 1 team like this. This is a team you see round 1 or 2 in ncaa that shoots tons of 3’s and if hit a lot give people trouble. Have to change the way you play offensively and defensively because they don’t play normal. They passed up lane shots for 3’s. That’s not a normal thing you are used to guarding.

I wasn't entirely sure who exactly was playing what position the last 8 minutes of the game or so. Pope mostly just put his quickest team out there and said guard whoever is closest.

The announcers said that JMU forced us to adapt to them instead of our forcing them to adapt to us.

That is Pope!!

That’s tubbyball without a Tubby plan.
