Our offense looks like something from the Peewees compared to what Foard is doing. We’ll see if we straighten it out after halftime. Key unforced turnover by us as well in the first half.

Last update on score stream, I don’t check it much cause it don’t update worth a hoot but NL wining in the 4th 35 -28. Let’s see if they hold. I had suspicion this might be a close game cause NWC had their heads rang by Hickory/EL/ Crest level type teams

Congrats to Maiden on the win tonight. I think they won it with their halftime adjustments. Hope the young QB isn’t too bad hurt. And man, Newton’s unsportsmanlike after the last TD, what a tough way ruin your chance at OT. Turns out that early safety was the difference!
nope...shot my shot thinking the end was last week. Picked against the Boom Devils. I'm dropping out, as penance for my poor judgment.
The freshman QB is ok. They were being extra cautious because he's a freshman. He should be playing next week

#3 for NC probably learned a valuable lesson tonight and will carry that burden for a little while
I was hoping we could go out on a high note whenever that time came but this, unfortunately, wasn’t a shocker.

What a game, Maiden 29 Newton-Conover 27 football was definitely in Maiden tonight. Got to hang out with AlwaysAWolf, his fine brother and one of our fine assistant coaches who is also a relative of GrizzlyDevil. Thanks fellers, enjoyed it.
Newton-Conover had a good game plan and frankly, to the eye of a casual football fan, it looked like what AMD had told me they (N-C) would do.
The Red Devils had their chances and got the breaks BUT, “Winning tough games requires an indomitable will to regroup, make adjustments, and push through when things go wrong for two and a half quarters.” Those aren’t my words, but I wish they were, Curt Cignetti said it.
Hats off to the Red Devils for a good effort and a big congratulations to the Blue Devils on their win and advancing on to play The Tuscola Mountaineers next Friday, In Rocky Top (and it ain’t in Tennessee, it’s in NC)…Climb that mountain, y’all.
On a serious note concerning health: Creek, you’re in your 50’s now. Yes, it’s the new middle-age, but you still must adhere to healthful habits, meaning:
-Don’t Go over to the golf course and celebrate.
-Don’t get with the guys and drink beer ‘til 3AM
-Don’t make a fire in that metal barrel.
-Do go home and go to bed by midnight…Ok, ok, 1 AM.
Your vital signs will thank you for it.

They definitely picked us apart but we failed to adjust some things on our end and we’ve done that a fair amount this year and have just caused ourselves problems or shortcomings a lot. It has been a trend. Best passing QB for us got put out with concussion protocol when he threw the TD to make it 31-17. It was roughing the passer that didn’t get called but even worse knocked him out of the game. Best defender (LB) tore something in his “good” shoulder, so he’s off for surgery after having the same thing happen on his other shoulder last season. Rough night all the way around.
50’s? I wished.

Honestly I gotta give coaches a lotta credit of halftime adjustments and moving smyre to RB was a great move to counter double safetys over top of WRs

Bandys loss was a surprise. Guess they know how to play at Wilkes or Bandys just didn’t care. They’ll be alright next year. 3 or 4 more wins I’m sure
