And you didn't have to miss yet another day of work todayBright side: Watched in my recliner and don't have to drive home.
I expect Pope gets drilled often.....I don’t understand that because you know Pitino drilled that into him.
Your mom is a *****?But how are you going to pick up my mom from your recliner?
I thought nobody else had tough gamesValpo with the 3 at the buzzer to upset Purdue in double OT with their best player fouled out.
Teams like Kansas won’t be as small/fast as JMU while chucking up 40+ 3s. Small/fast teams that shoot a zillion 3s tend to make big/long teams look awkward on D as it’s tough for the bigger guys to keep running around trying to keep up with shooters. Not saying tonight was a good night, but we adjusted in the second half and had a comfortable win, and that’s with our best shooter going 1-8 or 9 (whatever it was) and Moreno having several idiotic TOs that cost us.We can’t look like this against teams like Kansas or Virginia or we’re gonna get blown out.
A common theme under Pope. How many times have we said this over the past few years?Embarrassing performance
I agree but think N'Diaye will get Kepnang's minutes as backup center; Franck just doesn't look like he's got enough mobility left. And eventually might be next game.Yep and he should. Kam will eventually take nearly all of N'Diaye's minutes as the 8th guy.
Players have off nights. All playersHe's like 1-8 or something- good look or not, we pay him to hit shots.
Thats right. An 18-22 year old is a kid. Plain and simpleNo it just makes them kids with money
I would love to see Mason, Zoom, Wilkins all start with Milan at 4. Might get destroyed on the boards though.Positives:
Hawthorne is gonna be a good player one of these days.
McBride was the spark.
I think these guys have much better chemistry than last years team.
Negatives:
Beat to way too many loose balls. Some luck involved there due to the huge # of 3’s they chucked.
We have to run some stuff for Milan
We get lost way too much on d just like last years team.
* Pope needs to hand the keys to Mason. He’s special.
By youEmbarrassing performance
Post of the nightMan this board is ridiculous. Games like this happen to everyone. Just relax and enjoy basketball.
Small fast teams that launch 40 3s are the type of teams that pull off first round upsets in March.Teams like Kansas won’t be as small/fast as JMU while chucking up 40+ 3s. UK is still everyone's Super Bowl. JMU hut 15 three pointers tonight. If you hit 15 threes, you are going to stay in the game for a whileGood win.
JMU probably played the best first half they’ll play all year.
Wilkins couple early fouls.
Milan picked his nose and flicked boogers most of the game.
Hawthorne, Williams going to have to play earlier and more often.
Good to see Kam get some run…
Good to see Zoom and McBride pop off
Man this board is ridiculous. Games like this happen to everyone. Just relax and enjoy basketball.
Sounds like a person that actually understands matchups.Teams like Kansas won’t be as small/fast as JMU while chucking up 40+ 3s. Good thing 18-22 year olds can't be tried as adults in court.Thats right. An 18-22 year old is a kid. Plain and simple
10000% ^^^^Small fast teams that launch 40 3s are the type of teams that pull off first round upsets in March.

And we just had one of those “upset“ games and won comfortably, with bad games from our best shooter and our center. Try and take a positive from it instead of automatically trying to find the negative. It was an ugly performance, but we won. Hell of a lot better than losing. I bet Purdue would be pretty happy to win an ugly game tonight, or Oklahoma the other night.Small fast teams that launch 40 3s are the type of teams that pull off first round upsets in March.
Or fight in wars.Good thing 18-22 year olds can't be tried as adults in court.
Exactly, easy to hit them when you’re just playing without expectations.UK is still everyone's Super Bowl. JMU hut 15 three pointers tonight. If you hit 15 threes, you are going to stay in the game for a while
Did you mean to say they “only” hit 15 threes because they shot FORTY FIVE of them. 15 isn’t anything special.Kansas will boat race us in the first half. We will spend the whole second half trying to make the final score respectable. If we play defense like we did tonight it's gonna be a complete blow out.
18-20 year olds can't buy alcohol. Wonder why that isGood thing 18-22 year olds can't be tried as adults in court.
That was not enjoyable basketball honestly. It’s one thing to have a tough game. It’s another to let a one dimensional team tie you 80% of the game doing exactly what you know they wanna do. Get out rebounded, dunked on by little shooters.Man this board is ridiculous. Games like this happen to everyone. Just relax and enjoy basketball.
You were right, they’re already showing up. They’re so shameless. Not sure which will be sadder...
We lose this game
We win and sunshine pumpers storm the thread saying we're all negative and this team is gonna make a deep run to the final 4![]()
Praise for McBride, Hawthorne, and Mason. Three guys bashed over the summer by the basketball geniuses of Rafters.Positives:

You’re right. We should consider this one a loss because the other team didn’t shoot a high enough percentage from 3. Forget the fact that our flame thrower went 1-9…. That doesn’t matter. We should only focus on the fact that the other team was only +15 from 3 and made our bigger, slower guys chase them all over the court whether they made the 3 or not.Did you mean to say they “only” hit 15 threes because they shot FORTY FIVE of them. 15 isn’t anything special.

| Percent Led | 10 | 83 Try again |
Agreed with that. Round of 32/Sweet 16 ceiling again. 10 losses easy imho.Win is a win. I think it will be less stressful for people when they accept some realities about this team. They’re a pretty good team. They haven’t shown anything that makes me think they’ll be great. That’s one man’s opinion though. They look like a 9-11 loss round of 32ish team. Maybe Sweet 16 ceiling. About like Tubby’s 2006/07 teams. I’ll keep watching and hoping they make me look dumb (wouldn’t be the first time)
Curious to see how they develop this year without their all world PG for the first time in 4 years.Valpo with the 3 at the buzzer to upset Purdue in double OT with their best player fouled out.
