That’s been Pope’s defense the whole time he’s coached. Hope they miss.

It’s hard to guard the perimeter with your hands up without losing a step on the opponent going around you.
He just has very little explosion sometimes you are right. I think it’s his second jump.Is it just me or does Moreno look like he has a hard time jumping over a phone book?
Diallo does not look for others, as is the role of a PG.
He is too busy zooming .... !!!

Is our offense really gonna be spray and pray? Ugh.
Outside of Momo, we’re not a very good 3-point shooting team.
Our defense is pretty bad, we are settling for contested 3’a from everyone. It’s one thing to kick out an open shot but we are shooting over guys.
We shoot too many damn threes !!!!
All JMU does is shoot 3s and we don't defend it
They can’t even guard McBride. Just drive and kick all game. Easy W or foul and one at the basket if we finish.
Doesn’t look like it’s working…
If you swapped rosters JMIU’s coach would have us up 24.
Yeah, it's not shored up much. I don't worry about D until about the 13 minute mark or so because you have to adjust but we're just not sharp tonight.
McBride seems like a guy who has played pickup games all his life and Ousmane a guy who is still learning the game.
Do we feel physically superior to this team? Not really, other than moreno being taller.
That's what's sad. Other than last game, we haven't felt physically superior at all. That's trouble going into the tough part of our schedule.

The team is looking ahead to playing Tennessee on Saturday…classic trap game.
It’s because he allows us to go 5-6 minutes stretches running nothing other than transition 3’s or shooting the first pass we get and fire from anywhere. When we run our actions we score.
At least JMU’s coach coached under a winner (prime Cal).
We actually have people on this forum thinking this team is any different than Popes previous ten years. Too funny.
JMU looks like a basketball team. We look frantic
Pope still can’t coach perimeter defense. Losing 10-11 SEC games this year,
Saw some different stuff in the exh games and Tuesday but tonight has just been BAD>
We’d still find a way to be a fringe top 25 team with Mitchell.
10 comments this thread and all negative. Duke fan
We’re just getting started bro. The Pope farewell tour continues this Tuesday.Juggernaut JMU bodying us this half.
Oooof
They’re gonna score. Offense will be fun to watch sometimes. But a Mark Pope team doesn’t play defense. Never have never will.
