After this first five minutes I’d take just a win. No way this team is a top 25 squad. I just don’t see it. Maybe we are still vanilla for the sake of pre-season vanilla-ness.
Can Williams come in now? Can't believe im watching this over college football playoff reveal show.
I'm not gonna freak out this year unless we really tank. Or we by some miracle get a major run going.

Might be Mark Pope's best team at Kentucky, true, but it might also be his worst. It's not really much different construction wise from his others.
We all know Pope can’t prepare a team for the local YMCA squad so what can we expect. I mean we have had plenty of different teams and examples so far. Idk what it is, but they look like they have never practiced together the first 10 minutes of most games.
I could excuse a lot of this and I still can since it’s the first game of the season and I know we will improve. But my main issue is that we run like no plays. I keep hearing pope is an “xs and os” coach. I don’t see anything at all. I see a lot of dribbling and not much else.
Also, has Hood called a game before? Poor play by play guy having to carry the whole broadcast, such as it is.
I think that's the catch this year. Either it's his best team and he builds it and wins or it fails and we move on.
Can someone explain the offensive system we run.. This looks the same as Cals, just go play ball... How can other teams constantly get a player open for 3.... And we can't get our best shooter open.

Pope does not appear to get who he needs and wants ... he gets who he can, unfortunately.

We have one of the best offensive weapons in the country and Pope can't seem to figure out how to get him open. Unbelievable.

We are keeping the offense vanilla, we don’t want teams to know how to stop him from getting by the ball.Williams comes in and at least it resembles basketball. Give me Williams, Mom, McBride, Wilkins, and Moreno. We are very fortunate to have lucked into Mason Williams that’s all I can say.
