Iowa v Purdue morning question

PBezanson · Sunday at 5:09 PM

My son and I are meeting up in Iowa City to go to the Iowa/Purdue game — him from NYC and me from Phoenix.

Assuming the game is 11am, I am thinking that we would uber from Coralville (Homewood Suites) hotel and have breakfast at Hamburg #2 in Iowa City, then walk to the game from there, then walk downtown after the game and go to Paglias Pizza at 4 or 5pm.

Am I likely to face very long waits at Hamburg at 8am and Paglia’s at 4:30pm on a gameday? Thanks in advance for advice. Trying to get all “the sentimental feels” in around the game, but I don’t want to sit outside Hamburg for an hour just to get a table.…so I rather know that was a certain problem ahead of time so I can pivot to another downtown establishment.

FYI Purdue will be a night game, 6:00 or 6:30 pm.

Meaning he's a lock to get a table at Hamburg Inn #2!

Anyone have a parking pass they won't be using for this game? Coming in from des moines area with the kids and trying to direct my simultaneously lead-footed and scatter brained son to Kinnick without a hike if possible.

Ugh! Don’t like night games, especially in November.

Right now, forecast is 62 and partly cloudy for the daytime. Obviously temps will drop when sun goes down at almost 4:45pm now.

Meant park at mall in Coralville and Uber right to stadium.

I'm assuming the total cost would be similar to paying for a parking pass, and the return trip likely is impossible.

No parking hassle if you wanted easy parking.

My driveway is also an easy parking spot. Jk. Nah I'll pass on hoping an Uber exists after the game.
