Love the tenacity - feels like we have chased down every loose ball. Gonna be a fun team to watch!

17-13 Heels at the TO. PU jumped out to an 8-0 lead. Lots of 3s. Think we are really going to enjoy watching Burrows and Akot this season.
UNC 20 shots, OK just 12. That is because we are +5 on Off rebounds. that will work!
Gabby White is the next sub in, notably ahead of Clardy.
Hull in at the same time

Feels like Laila really struggles when there's any sort of game pressure. If we're a up against a mid-tier opponent, she's lights out. But against elite comp and in close games I just don't trust her to hit an open shot
OK plays rushed: they take the first available shot every time, good or bad. Some aggressive passing leading to early turnovers. they have athletes, so it is not killing them, but we can match their athletes so they cant run us like a lesser team.
Notably, we have not seen a true big yet at all, I would not be surprised if Thomas does not play considering the speed of this game.

And just like that 3 fouls on Chavez. 9:51 left until half. Take advantage!
Really like her ball handling ability. Have to think getting actual game action will help with finishing, etc. potential to be a really good defensive player too. A player who is going to give you everything she has, dive for loose balls, etc. Going to be a favorite in Carmichael with how hard she plays.
Love to see her taking and making a three. Akot made one as well. If those two can be athreat this team will be dynamic.
Our half court offense is trash. Like every year under CB, we’re not creating anything easy.
Another year and it starts with yet another game with a CB-led team with the offense dying on the vine.
that was a clear backcourt, what are we doing here?
If any of you Heels at the game see a paper tickets please save me one. I collect UNC tickets, all sports. Kate‘s first game would be a nice ticket to have.
Just 7 min played and 5 pts for Chavez; I really thought we should be up with a margin considering that.
We are allowing OK to shoot 44%. That has negated our +8 shots taken advantage. But we have limited them to just 2 fast break points, that is excellent vs this team. But 16 pts in the paint is too many. That is partly due to us playing so small. Queiroz was our 5 with Burrows/Hull playing the 4 whenever Akot was out (6 min)
