Planning on going to a couple of games but have not gone yet. Can anyone who has seën pregame warm ups confirm that manske is dressed and throwing the ball in warmips? I wonder what the plan is if becht gets hurt. Its hard to believe he couldn't even go in at the end of the purdue game and hand off to hansen two or three times. Something seems off. Is he hurt? Any concerns about his heart situation? Is the D-3 guy the real backup? Are we one injury away from just running a wildcat offense??

Is it possible that they are trying to save Manske's redshirt? It's concerning that they didn't put him in late in the game against Perdue, when up a couple of scores.
Connor Barry has completed over 350 passes in his collegiate career. Obviously, most were D3, but 350 is a lot of passes to complete imo. If he's the backup I'm fine with it.
No. The rules have changed, and playing him on Saturday would have done nothing regarding his eligibility.
I'm not sure how many times you see a backup QB come in in a 14 point game just to hand it off. This sounds like another thing where fans have an idea of how it works and they really do not. The backup QB not playing against Purdue means nothing in the grand scheme of things, but I'm sure some will make a bigger deal of this than it deserves.

2) He is capable of playing (in fact, he did get very brief mop-up duty in one game) and he certainly is dressed out and engaging in pre-game with the team.
3) He would most certainly be the guy called on if Becht goes down
4) "Redshirting" as you alluded to it is no longer a thing or a consideration (and wouldn't be even in the old days - since he already took a "redshirt" year)
