What the heck is a "Lebby" layup?

It often sounds like the HC is trying to deflect his poor coaching ability onto the team. His press conferences are as much of a waste of time as his effort or lack thereof on the sidelines.

It’s coachspeak grunts. It’s his specialty. He’s lazy and dumb.

Everything the team does .. here is a very small sample:

at LSU (Oct. 17)

1. Drive reaches the LSU 6-yard line / inside the 2 — fails on fourth down (one of five straight turnovers on downs).

2. Multiple short-yardage situations near the goal line that the offense could not convert, leaving points on the field in a shutout.

vs. Oklahoma (Oct. 24)

3. The signature one: First-and-goal from the Oklahoma 6-yard line (down only 3-0). Billy Puckett keeps on a read-option, fumbles, and Oklahoma recovers. Lebby specifically called this a missed layup.

4. Offense goes 1-of-11 on third downs — repeatedly failing to convert manageable distances.

5. Additional red-zone/short-yardage failures that prevented the offense from capitalizing on good field position.

at Texas (Oct. 31)

6. False start on the first third down of the game (Lebby directly cited this as a missed layup).

7. False start on a fourth-and-2 early in the game (another specific example Lebby pointed to).

8. AJ Swann fumble near midfield that Texas returned 61 yards for a touchdown (turning a competitive situation into a 17-0 deficit).

9. Drive into Texas territory / red-zone area ends with a missed 38-yard field goal.

10. After a turnover sets up good field position in the third quarter, a poorly executed trick play loses yards and forces a field goal instead of a touchdown opportunity.
