MY PICKS(7-1 Last Week, 63-15 on the season)
GOLDSBORO COUGARS 0-9 0-4 @ (6)MIDWAY RAIDERS 7-1 3-1
I thought that the kids from Goldsboro had a chance to enjoy their senior night against West Columbus last week but the game was canceled, and West Columbus was credited with a forfeit win. And now it doesn't get any easier for these Cougars, going to Spiveys Corner and face one of the best teams in 3a. And these Raiders are coming off of an bye week, and will be ready to play. I don't think that the Raiders will get any resistance from the Cougars, and they'll have a running clock โฐ๏ธ. G 0 M 56
(16)PRINCETON BULLDOGS 4-5 1-3 @ (23)ROSEWOOD EAGLES 3-6 1-3
These two rivals are only separated by a few miles, and when they get together it'll be for more than bragging rights. The Eagles are coming off of an lost to Wallace Rose Hill 48-20, in a game where they started off slow and couldn't catch up. The Bulldogs took their rushing attack to Warsaw and fought my Tigers hard, but came up short 35-15. These two gave us a classic shootout last season, with the Bulldogs walking away victorious 50-42. I expect the same this time around as well. P 56 R 50
GAME OF THE WEEK
(4)JAMES KENAN TIGERS
7-1 4-0 @ (8)WALLACE ROSE HILL BULLDOGS
5-3 3-1
My Tigers head to Bulldogs territory to put a stamp on our second straight SVC championships. But these Bulldogs, turned Ghost
Dogs
want a share of the title. It'll be the night before Halloween
, and it'll be black and orange everywhere. I feel like my Tigers
are walking into a haunted house and the only way out is if we go in there as Ghostbusters. This one will be fun, and I love the atmosphere at the Dog
Pound. Now to this game, I believe that both teams are similar, they both has one of the top defenses in 3a, both are giving up 12 points a game(well 12.75 for the Bulldogs). Both like to run power offenses, I think my Tigers
has the better passing game, but the Bulldogs has the better special teams. Both teams are coming off of wins, my Tigers
had Princeton Bulldogs put down at the pound 35-15, while Wallace bit Rosewood 48-20. My Tigers
has won the last three meeting between these two, including defeating the Bulldogs twice last season. 28-21 in the season finale, and 26-7 in the second round of the playoffs. The last time my Tigers
went into the Dog
Pound looking to claim the conference crown, the Bulldogs shocked my undefeated Tigers
17-14. So we know what's it's like to go in the Dog
Pound and walk away victorious, and we also know how it feels to come out of there and get home and sit in the car for hours wondering what just happened. I think my Tigers
are focused, and will strike early and hold off the Ghost
Dogs
and crash their Halloween
party. If there's something strange in your neighborhood, who you gonna call GHOSTBUSTERS!!! If there's something weird and it don't look good, who gonna call GHOSTBUSTERS!!! I AIN'T AFRAID OF NO GHOST!! JK 14 WRH 0

(19)PASQUOTANK COUNTY PANTHERS 6-3 3-1 @ (3)NORTHEASTERN EAGLES 8-1 3-0
I know the Eagles has been waiting for this one, after the Panthers upset them last season 21-14. Now they'll be able to get some revenge for that loss, but they better be careful, cause these Panthers want a share of the conference crown. These Panthers can score, and they can get after you on defense. It just depends on which Panthers team shows up. But I don't think it'll matter to the Eagles, they have won seven straight, and has scored 35 or more in those wins. That includes a 54-19 win over Martin County last week. The Panthers clawed their way to a 20-10 win over Currituck County last week. This is a rivalry game, and both teams will leave it all on the field. I think that the Eagles are packing a much powerful punch than anyone in the East right now. PC 21 N 48
SOUTH COLUMBUS STALLIONS 5-3 2-1 @ (12)WHITEVILLE WOLFPACK 8-0 3-0
This game would be bigger if the Stallions didn't get caught looking ahead a couple weeks ago. Now they can only hope for a share of the conference crown by beating the Wolfpack. The Stallions has had two weeks to prepare for this one, while the Wolfpack attacked Red Springs 40-0. Last season the Stallions stole a share of the conference crown by defeating the Wolfpack 22-15. It appears that these Wolfpack aren't playing around this season, and they'll be looking to remain undefeated and claim one of the top seeds in the East for the playoffs. I expect the Stallions to come out swinging and give the Wolfpack a tough game, but the Wolfpack will find a way to get the job done. SC 27 W 31
JORDAN-MATTHEWS JETS 4-5 1-2 @ (6)EASTERN RANDOLPH WILDCATS 6-3 3-0
The Wildcats are playing their best ball that they has played all season. Both the offense and their defense is locked in, and they'll be looking to be on full display when the Jets of Jordan-Matthews hit the field on senior night. The Jets have lost their last two games, including a 43-6 defeat at the hands of Southwestern Randolph last week. The Wildcats took care of North Moore 41-0. I think the Jets will put up a fight for about a quarter, then will be shutdown by the Wildcats. JM 7 ER 36
(13)HERTFORD COUNTY BEARS
6-3 3-1 @ (14)MARTIN COUNTY GATORS 6-3 1-2
Another match up that should be a fun one to watch. The Bears comes in after a bye week, while the Gators had their hands full against Northeastern, falling 54-19. The Gators seems to have lost their identity on defense, cause they were playing much better defensively earlier this season. And they'll need to find it because these Bears
can really put up points in a hurry. I don't think that the Gators have enough fire power on offense to keep up with these Bears. HC 42 MC 24
(24)FARMVILLE CENTRAL JAGUARS 5-4 3-1 @ AYDEN-GRIFTON CHARGERS 2-7 1-3
I've been amazed by this Jaguars offense all season, they have an unique offense that's hard for anyone to slow down. And they had it on full display last week in their upset win against Greene Central 60-55. These young Chargers have shown signs of growth throughout this season, and they will give the Jaguars all that can handle. Cause these two rivals don't like each other, and neither team will lay down for the other, no matter what their records are. Look for this one to be the best showing for these Chargers to date, after they failed to score a point in last week's loss to Tarboro 41-0. Chargers will start strong and have the Jaguars playing from behind for most of the night. Then the Jaguars offense will get rolling and take control of the game. AG 27 FC 41

This is the last week of the regular season, and again I say this season has flown by too fast. I have to take my hat off to Princeton, they have a great offense, and if or when they get a defense to go with it, they'll be a force to deal with. Midway will be keeping an eye on what's going on in the Dog Pound. Rosewood and Princeton is going to be must see. And it's going down at the Dog Pound, my Tigers will be prepared for a heavyweight showdown with the Ghost Dogs. Looks like another great night of action in the SVC this week. Good luck to all of the SVC teams in action this week. LET'S GOOOO TIGERS!!!
