Obviously, UK may never land this kid and I don’t know how ready he’ll be to contribute, but from the footage I’ve watched I have to agree with you that I think Millogo could be part of the solution at Center next season for UK. Pair him with a good upperclassman from the portal or possibly even a wider-body good hands freshman to go along with Reece Potter (UK lucky to have him as a 3rd string option) and the position might be covered fine.Great prospect as a bench big if things go right for Pope this year.
Does not move the needle to keep Pope though imo like a unanimous top 10 guy would/could
If they don’t know who Sampson is they should do some college basketball research.Pretty good pro, pretty dominant college player
Is this kid closer to them or the kid that went to Florida? There have been a lot of giants who were not a factor at all.Wemby....Edey....Sampson...OK, 7'7", 7'4" and 7'4" but close enough
Sure, there have been a lot of guys every size though that were not a factor at all. Tons of 6'8-7'0 guys have been non-factors.Is this kid closer to them or the kid that went to Florida? There have been a lot of giants who were not a factor at all.
I believe 6 out of the top 12 are centers in next years class. He is extremely hard to project to college basketball next year. There just haven’t been many of the freakishly tall guys ranked high in the recruiting rankings.
Using 247 rankings(focused on centers) there have only been two 7’2 and above(listed height) guys in the top 50 of their class: Bol Bol and Aday Mara. There were some guys right outside the top 50 by their rankings (Hunter Dickinson and Daniel Jacobsen(at Purdue now)).
Think he is an ideal Kepnang replacement in year 1 behind a third year Malachi.
If Moreno doesn't go pro I see him transferring. He is extremely hard to project to college basketball next year. There just haven’t been many of the freakishly tall guys ranked high in the recruiting rankings.

There has been a few recently.I've never seen a 7'5'' player who was worth a dime
He’s miles better than the Florida kid.Is this kid closer to them or the kid that went to Florida? There have been a lot of giants who were not a factor at all.
Part of that is on the coaches. It's their job to find creative ways to make these guys successful. If you recruit a guy and he does nothing, that's at least partly on the coach. Is this kid closer to them or the kid that went to Florida? There have been a lot of giants who were not a factor at all.
Why? He would be a starter next year too. We would have a massive front court to work with.If Moreno doesn't go pro I see him transferring.
How many 7’5 players has anybody actually seen. Wasn’t the big Chinese guy that played in the NBA pretty goodI've never seen a 7'5'' player who was worth a dime
Just a guess. Not as a knock to UK. Just because its so easy to transfer and I wouldn't be surprised at a young person wanting to change their scenery for the heck of it.Why? He would be a starter next year too. We would have a massive front court to work with.
I wouldn’t be surprised at all, I just think his NIL market is greater here. If he has a great year he will be highly paid once again to return.Just a guess. Not as a knock to UK. Not like I have a strong feeling he would transfer. Not him personally. Just hard to keep any player three years in the transfer portal. So many options. Different cultures. Different campus/scenery. Different weather.
Even as a die hard if I was in the players position I would check out my options.
Moreno isn’t transferring lolIf Moreno doesn't go pro I see him transferring.
Maybe doesn't. But you have no clue.Moreno isn’t transferring lol
We hired his former coach to get him. If this doesn’t work then the sky is falling!Oh come on..... How many of these have we seen for recruits to end up someplace else?
In the Pope era, it is wise to count your chickens when they have hatched.
He won’t transfer. It’s nba or he’s back for junior year.Maybe doesn't. But you have no clue.
Really? I could see that for a top 5 guy but this guy doesn't seem on that level at all.We hired his former coach to get him. If this doesn’t work then the sky is falling!
Malachi is the only one who knows that. Never know what can happen. Hopefully he stays. He won’t transfer. It’s nba or he’s back for junior year.
He has a similar relationship with the #1 player in 2028Really? I could see that for a top 5 guy but this guy doesn't seem on that level at all.
He said it already last off-season.Malachi is the only one who knows that. Never know what can happen. Hopefully he stays.
Jasper transferred before he died. He was kentucky till I die. Even has a clothes brandHe said it already last off-season.
Way different situations but sure. Jasper wasn’t necessarily wanted back. Not worried either way. We will be fine next year.Jasper transferred before he died. He was kentucky till I die. Even has a clothes brand
Hopefully UK can upgrade at the center position regardless if he stays or not. Hes not much of a presence down low.Way different situations but sure. Jasper wasn’t necessarily wanted back. Not worried either way. We will be fine next year.
this is the best pope and his 10M staff could come up with. its patheticReally? I could see that for a top 5 guy but this guy doesn't seem on that level at all.
same.i feel like this crazy big guys just slow down an offense because they just aren't that athletic
