...how the hell do you come out after a two-week break against a pretty mid team and make all these ridiculous mistakes? Picks, fumbles, blocked punts, penalties. Seriously? For a coaching staff that's been together this long and a program that's often described as operating as a well-oiled machine in terms of practice and preparation, there is zero excuse for these kinds of performances. They just got seriously outcoached by PJ f*cking Fleck and Co.
The only thing consistent with KF and this program under him is the wildly inconsistent level of coaching, preparation, and execution.
Inexcusable.
The HOF disagrees.
Did Iowa get outcoached or outplayed?
Typically, fumbles aren't something that's put on coaching.
We know KF's track record with penalties. So you have no point there either.
As a matter of fact, even if coaching yesterday were "putrid", as you called it in another thread, you have no point.
These are kids. Least returning snaps in conference. Still developing leadership on offense. Lost rhythm over the bye week. Played as poorly as Iowa has played in a long time. It happens.
Minnesota wanted it more. Their players and coaches get paid too. They were at home. A group of veterans, angry about their last performance. More than hungry to beat Iowa.
That's not to say Iowa didn't want it enough. Minnesota just had more things to draw from to give them extra juice. It happens.
Some games Iowa has the extra juice. But they've always had enough juice to have the consistency, that most of the country is jealous of, but that you can't seem to recognize.
Winning isn't easy. And Iowa is expected to always beat teams like Minnesota, because they've consistently been that good.
Being a victim of one's own success can only go so far. So you might want to get over your authority complex, or whatever it is
