I expected them to be favored, but that’s over the top to me. More like +5/6 imo.
Stein apparently loves the doubts too…. Giving Stein a bye week to prepare watch out…I love it. I LOVE being doubted
They beat Bama by 16 last week, and to put it mildly UK doesn't usually fare too well there. This is gonna be a tough one.
Not officially but somewhere between 6 and 8.Has the start time been announced?
I love it, we need motivation and that provides it. Give me any edge we can get. This is the game that could make or break an all time year. It’s a tough ask to get a Kentucky team to win in Knoxville. If Stein can pull that off I will never think he can’t do anything again.I expected them to be favored, but that’s over the top to me. More like +5/6 imo.
Between 6-8 last I read.Has the start time been announced?
Luckily we stop the run fairly well. We need to do it down there. Their QB play is shaky this year. The defense needs to get a couple timely turnovers again. When we make plays in all phases like we have the last 6 games we win.Faizon Brandon will likely be starting again, that will make the job harder. Will need to find a way to slow down Bishop. To win this game, we will need to do what we have done all season, win the turnover battle. +2 and we win. Even or neg and we get thumped
I see us struggling there. But have to win out for playoffs.Faizon Brandon will likely be starting again, that will make the job harder. Will need to find a way to slow down Bishop. To win this game, we will need to do what we have done all season, win the turnover battle. +2 and we win. Even or neg and we get thumped
Honestly, I think they played their best football against Carolina but their lack of discipline removed 3 scores. That was a huge confidence killer. Everybody thinks they’ll be out for blood against us, I think they lost their confidence. Let’s prove everyone wrong again. CATS!!!Well they’re at home, they’ll be smarting after their loss to the cocks, and UK traditionally has not fared well after a bye.

True…bama was a great showingThey beat Bama by 16 last week, and to put it mildly UK doesn't usually fare too well there. This is gonna be a tough one.
Which part? The turnover battle? Try watching games. The Alabama game was 3-3 and we got curb stomped. The other 7 games we are plus 11 and 7-0. Tennessee beat the crap out of Bama. We have to win the turnover battle to win that gameBull sheeyut
I didn’t watch the game but I read several places that said just what you said here. That Tennessee dominated SC except for a handful of dumb plays.Honestly, I think they played their best football against Carolina but their lack of discipline removed 3 scores. That was a huge confidence killer. Everybody thinks they’ll be out for blood against us, I think they lost their confidence. Let’s prove everyone wrong again. CATS!!!
We're the "something much bigger on the line" now.It seems like each week it’s a must win situation for the team we play. It’s either to save their coaches job or to stop a losing streak or with something much bigger on the line. It hasn’t been easy facing these teams with their backs against the wall.
UT and UK are still in the playoff hunt. Us more so than them. We beat them in Knoxville and we will more than likely be in and they will be out.It seems like each week it’s a must win situation for the team we play. It’s either to save their coaches job or to stop a losing streak or with something much bigger on the line. It hasn’t been easy facing these teams with their backs against the wall.
I don't think you can look at anything traditionally now that Stein is hereWell they’re at home, they’ll be smarting after their loss to the cocks, and UK traditionally has not fared well after a bye.
Aren't both teams coming off a bye week?I kinda hate they lost to SC. Gives them fuel to play harder against us. Plus we will be coming off a bye.
That's the SEC ; either you're crap and it never really matters or every week is HUGE.It seems like each week it’s a must win situation for the team we play. It’s either to save their coaches job or to stop a losing streak or with something much bigger on the line. It hasn’t been easy facing these teams with their backs against the wall.
The mixup on the handoff that cost Tennessee the game came on a 4th and 1 when Bishop got hurt and had to leave the game for a play. That mixup was on the back, not the QB.Fuel for our fire.
Many people will think about how well UT has done historically against UK and let that influence how they pick the game. But this is a completely different season. UK has a new mindset. The past is dead and buried.
I dunno if Brandon will start. I think it would be better if he did. Why? Freshmen QB's like Mcintire and brandon will make mistakes. Sometimes simple ones. Like not handing the ball off properly at the end of the UT game yesterday. Losing the ball at the worst time.
Maybe Brandon starting makes their offense a little bit off balance without continuity from game to game. I dont know how to say it, but i just get the feeling it would be better if he did start. In the end, I dont think it matters which QB they play.
For me, this game comes down to which team does best in the trenches. Our O line vs their D line and vice versa.
1) we need to limit the Vols running attack and be physical to rbing the nations best RB (IMHO) and we need to tackle him well. No hitting and think it'll knock him down. Grab him, wrap him up, gotta force that guy down to the ground. Bishop makes you tackle him, he is a super strong runner. So I'll say what I've said this year about the Vols. Limit them to under 150 yards on the ground, or thereabouts. Preferably under 150 yds.
2) need to play smart, no turnovers, win the turnover battle, or at the very least, stay even. Limit penalties. Don't beat ourselves.
3) Need to be able to run the ball as well, balanced attack. Heupel will want to control the ball and clock. Narrow down the game and grind us down with physicality. We need to match it, even exceed it. Play with more energy, out hustle them. Execute. Want this win more than the Vols.
I think we're in great hands with the coaching staff and on both offense/defense. Kenny is poised and calm and is a great leader. We really need him not to throw interceptions. He's been A+ at that so far. But the Vols have a great defense.
So in the end, we get healthy as possible, put in a great gameplan and plays that can take advantage of the Vols aggressiveness, and turn it on them.
Keep the chatter and speculation and looking ahead out of our minds. control what we can control. Just keep getting better and improving every day. Work hard. I really hope the players don't drink the poisoned koolaid. It is tempting to lose focus and engage in speculation and talking about how good we are.
Humility is only a week away in the SEC. In this case, two.
Stay calm and level headed, humble, but remain confident and focused on the positive things that got us here to be in this position. In that regard, nothing has changed.
One game at a time. Don't start thinking we're hot **** and will beat everyone we play. Forget all of that kind of stuff.
Let's go, we got this. Just keep winning and finding ways to overcome.
So happy we have this opportunity...
Go Big Blue !
They will be coming off bye tooI kinda hate they lost to SC. Gives them fuel to play harder against us. Plus we will be coming off a bye.
