He should. Not having a solid 2 after last two years should have taught him something. He hasn't had a qb start every game yet. Not to mention keeping hutzler two years and lack of good recruiting on defense. The complete drop off with out KT over the whole team shows a culture issue, an issue in recruiting as well. You have to build and develop and recruit serviceable depth. Lebby struck out. I'd argue if it weren't for KT growing up a state fan, he would have been fired already. KT doesn't go here and based on what I've seen from Lebby we wouldn't have beat Mizzou or usc east without him.

I would fire him at 6-6. Can we not expect more than 6-6 in year 3? If not, just go to the sunbelt
I wouldn’t be against it. It’s just the lack of trying something different. It sucks Kamario is injured but you can’t keep trotting puckett out there. I don’t blame Puckett but you have to give Swann a series. Or explain why Swann doesn’t get one.

What frustrates me is the complete collapse of the team mid season the past 2 seasons. We play well the first half of the season, and then its blowout central for the rest. I think 6-6 is borderline firing. If he’s 6-6 with a win over Ole Miss, he’ll get another season.

I'll answer this, later in the season. We are team built on offense, but the injuries we have had are killers.
WE must score a lot to win, and the key players have been hurt, QB might be gone for the rest of the season.
College football is a strange animal now, Hell Indiana popped out and kicked everybody's *** last year.
Never seen that before,
Like I said Ill'' hold off for now, on future staffing. Firing early is not necessary.

This is such a dumb 17ing take.

Selmon walked into the biggest disaster in a power conference thanks solely to Keenum. He hired an elite OC from a juggernaut program, and we couldn’t have gotten much better.

Lebby has proven he can’t manage a program. It’s that simple. Sure, Selmon may have known him at OU, but this wasn’t corporate nepotism. It was getting the best you could for your employer at the time in an impossible situation.

Injuries piling up. Poor job of recruiting/developing depth.

You can’t fire him without the next guy in place already. He would have to be an offensive guy with a great track record to retain the offensive stars we have. The chances of nailing that hire are very low. And if K1 walks and stars somewhere else, you’ve lost the fan base for a decade or more. Risky.

If he isn't willing to change the strength and conditioning program he should be gone. Our team seems to get weaker every year. I remember the days when teams hated to play us because we'd punch em in the mouth all game. With Lebby's offense it can be done here but players gotta be in tip top shape on both the O and D.

WTF. Teams literally can turn around in one year with the portal. He’s had three. This isn’t 1970s 80s 90s 2000s football anymore. It’s a whole new ballgame pun intended.

That costs money. Glad to hear you are going to pay for it. I’m really looking forward to next year now!

To me, it comes down to this. The things that were a glaring issue when he got here are still a glaring issue. No offensive or defensive line. No depth when have a starter go down. About the only position group that is solid is receiver. The rest is either marginal SEC quality from top to bottom or no SEC quality once you get past the starter.
