Guess Ian Strong knew there would be a big QB drop off.

And yes, at least the staff was right: DL is better than AJ

but how come so many teams play RU with their backup QB and always have a career day but our backup QBs are never good
Ian strong draft stock has TANKED . So whatever one time payment he got (that RU had money to match or come close) , he’s now lost . While Duff is a top 3 WR and climbing the first round boards

Duff got enough money to stay and wanted to stay local - not everyone is a “move around guy”
I always say every individual is different. Money, playing time, fit to system etc…are all variables that matter differently to each player. Even the same player may value things differently from one point in his career to another.

Not a Fundementally sound team. Every week it’s the same thing. It’s not a talent thing it’s preparation and ideology.

exactly ! nW doesn’t have 25 points better in a half talent than RU! In fact I’d bet our HS ranking have been significantly better than theirs over last 3 years.
The biggest difference is they have a top third in conference QB, we have the worst or second to worst.
and they have a creative looking offense , and their defense has a gd pulse

I have 3 kids. 2 want to travel and see the world. 1 wants to stay put.

1. We could play with 13 on defense and it wouldn't make a difference, and
2. I say this every year, but the third string QB on the lower level Texas college teams (North Texas, Texas State, etc) are all better than what we have and they would kill to start at a Big Ten school, and
3. Someone at peacock needs to make the commercial break music 75% quieter. Im trying to take a nap and it keeps waking me up.

Have some life? Seriously? Give props to the announcers for trying to keep interest in the game.

And he stares down his receivers constantly. At least glance toward another part of the field occasionally.
He’s got the worst field sense of any coach’s kid I’ve ever seen. Either Greg ruined him or he never had it.

Saw him play a couple of times in high school. Played in a horrible conference against bad competition. But he was an athlete. Had good wheels and threw a nice ball. He has seriously regressed. Said in another thread. He doesn’t understand pocket passer or quiet feet. He thinks that means stand still and cement shoes.
