I doubt we’ll be down by double digits with their best player out. I’ll actually be worried if game is competitive. If we can’t blowout an injured top 20 team, what are we even doing?
Really love to watch the game but Ive put off rearranging my sock drawer long enough. Sad I’ll miss this one….Damn!!!

In Pope's 2 years at UK we have been down double digits to P5 competition more times than we haven't unfortunately.

I want to see us run more offense. Please. And can Moreno please be more vocal? Demand the ball some more? Zoom, can you act like you have played basketball before?
These guys have been practicing for months together so there should be some cohesiveness on the court. I want Moreno to be more physical and aggressive, and the team for that matter. Absolutely zero reason to have 10+ turnovers in games going forward, set some man screens in the offense and really just want to see a big improvement from last Friday.
In many ways yes - coaches often try new things, lineups, the games do not count, etc. But taking care of the ball? being vocal? Those things carry over into the season.
Concerned about Zoom.
Wouldn't surprise me if someone else is running point by SEC play.
The goal for UK basketball in October of 2026 is to keep a home exhibition game within 8-12 points. Sigh.

My biggest concern is turnovers . There is no scenario in a exhibition or regular season game where 19 turnovers is not worrisome.
I hope we clean that up and look more cohesive offensively. TT will be a tough game for us with or without Toppin playing.

I want to see less jitters, and more cohesion. also want to see if Pope got through to Wilkins to only put up good shots and curious if zoom will look like a starting pg or if William keeps knocking at that door.
If you watched the Louisville/ Kansas game last night you would not have known it was an exhibition from the loud,loud crowd . I think these games will mean something in our rankings .
Think Williams may take that over by conference play but hopefully Zoom cranks it up. Williams just looks so natural as PG.
The thought of that makes me shudder. If that happened my guess would be yes just like the Gonzaga game. Would be worse on our home court. Hopefully we handle business especially against little brother.

Might be crazy but I’d like to see them try that with Williams and play Zoom and Wilkins together with a 3 guard lineup. Just test it out in. Or promoting it as a staple but the way those 3 shoot the ball it might be advantageous depending on the opponent. That’s why we play these games. Try some new stuff and see if it works.
I agree with that. The spacing you would get with that would be great. Obviously would depend on the matchups but it’s definitely a lineup you can do for offense and to speed up the game.
Absolutely and Zoom could probably even get some run at the 3 in certain spots with his size . Zoom and Wilkins both have size (height) so why not use that advantage. Our length could be a problem for other teams.

Definitely don’t shorten rotations in exhibition games. It’s how you get to look at different groups and see what works best together. Also who plays with each other well. That’s what these games are for.
