One hand on the DB, one hand on the ball, and one foot in-bounds by inches. That's crazy. But NFL is awful at drafting and hopefully he doesn't run a 4.7 and get out of 1st. He has 6 catches like above but teams get scared without stats defending their picks

A difficult catch but Shelby doesn’t think this one is even close in difficulty to the PSU catch last year.

He was almost horizontal, falling on his side and reached across his body for the one -handed, back - handed catch. Shelby never witnessed a more acrobatic catch than that at any level.

Duff probably won’t run a real fast 40 time, at his size that is difficult. However, I think he will be drafted in the 1st round. To me, he is a bigger, better prospect than Drake London of the Falcons. There is some similarity in size and ability to catch in difficult situations. London ran about 4.6 in the 40 but was drafted #8 overall about 4 or 5 years ago. Hard for me to believe that Duff drops completely out of the 1st round.

I have no doubt Duff is a first rounder. I've just see that GMs and coaches often like picks that make them safe from criticism. If GMs draft a 4.4 guy that is a bust they can point to his time as a draft reason. If a 4.7 guy busts a lot of fans and media question the pick. Then its also a matter of how many fast guys there are in a draft. Some years 4.5 and below are all over the place.

Teams like fast WRs just for ability to stretch a defense aside from catches. I know Duff has long speed because I've seen him run past CBs. Underwood looked slow with his daddy long-legs but he ran in 4.36 at combine. Ray Rice should never have been a 2nd rounder but overrated guys like Ark's Darren McFadden (4.33) Felix Jones and Rashard Mendenhall went before him. Ozzie Newsome said he drafted Rice because he saw him come out of the backside of every pile he ran into which was exactly right. McFadden had a great OL in 2007 that used to open giant holes McFadden would spring through. Rice would not beat anyone after 60 yds (think Revis catching him in Pitt game) but no other RB that year was going to do a "Hey Diddle Diddle Rice Up The Middle" to get their team to a Super Bowl. Rice had more total yds and TDs than McFadden despite McFadden have 4 more seasons

I think Ozzie Newsome would take Duff in first but some bad teams are chronic bad draftees. Right now Mel Kiper has Duff #5 WR which is crazy to me. He has Indiana's Nick Marsh ahead of him and he's the guy that caught a last second TD vs Ohio St but stepped out of bounds. He also has Becker ahead of him and Becker is great and fast but I would not take him before Duff.
