Not bad considering we are on the heels of having an AD that many claim to have been the worst ever who destroyed UK athletics and put us in a hole that will take considerable time to climb out of. You do kind of need to add another team to this it would seem though.

Even look at what kind of roster Brooks has got a great mixture of returning talent and 3 studs coming in and we have never been known to be a women's basketball school. Mitchell did good things for our program but I think Brooks elevates it. Brooks has that final 4 on his resume...
That’s right. It definitely shows what can happen when we get a qualified coach in MBB.
Mitch isn't the one who found Stein and wanted to hire Stein that would be Tamme and the other voting members of the Club Blue. Yes Mitch hired him but it was the Club Blue that Tamme was head of that actually brought Stein in so once again Mitch didn't have to do any work. Mitch and Mitch being lazy he was pretty accustomed to that.

You are correct in one sense have you seen that women's roster though and those recruits he brought in all 3 were McDonald's All Americans. Then returning Strack for a 3rd year, Me'Arah O'Neil transferred from Florida ( Shaq said she was the best athlete in the whole family) , Ajsa Sivka (was selected 10th in 2025 WNBA draft) so she's nothing to overlook, Asia Boone for another year, and a couple other decent players. The women's team is going to be better than 14th.
Both Stoops' and Cal's contracts were blunders man, and if the Pope implodes for good this year, that's another swing-and-a-miss. Both those sports are far more important to the majority of fans.
I just mean UK football has earned its active in season rankings. They weren't even ranked preseason.
I just dont put much stock into preseason rankings. We have no idea how good the mens team will be, just a guess. Apparently the women's team is underrated per another poster but who knows.
Throw in Volleyball & Baseball & KENTUCKY ATHLETICS are in great shape considering the AD situation & the recent hires.
