chill dude. Relax. Let the season play out. Long shot, but we beat NW at their house this weekend as double digit underdogs, the situation changes.

I'm completely "chill" BUT we ain't beating NW my friend. Chip Kelly is gonna have his O run circles around our D and Braun (see: NOT FITZ lol 🤦🏻‍♂️) will have his D and ST's ready to hold us down for the most part.

This is gonna be a ROUGH 6-game stretch.

4-2, and a bowl game.
Bet the farm.

Let's talk post game. Chill the F out. Major mountain to climb at their new stadium, against a ranked team, but we go in and beat them, the whole agenda changes. You will flip like a crab in a minute.

Now it's finally time for Rutgers to beat a top 25 oppenent: No. 24 Northwestern on Saturday.
Hopefully will end that losing streak of 17 years
2009 was the last time Rutgers t beat a top 25 opponent:

<Rutgers' last win over an AP Top 25 team was a 31-0 victory over No. 23 South Florida on November 12, 2009.
Rutgers has lost 44 straight games against AP Top 25 opponents since then. >[sports.yahoo.com]

Yep... the streak should have ended vs. No. 24 Illinois two years ago, but we all know how that turned out.

I'm 100% "chill." Not even sure WHAT in this thread sounds otherwise. Weird.

Not if we take Tom Brady’s advice and get back in there and undercook their chicken like a man. A little chicken tartare for Northwestern’s pregame meal would do wonders for Rutgers chances.

Right now Rutgers is tied for 12th in the Big Ten. How high within the Big Ten does Rutgers need to finish for Greg to come back?
No one remaining are world beaters so it's certainly not out of the realm of possibility we win a couple. That said, he needs to go regardless of how the rest of the games play out. We have a large enough sample size to know he's not good. We keep moving the goal posts in for this guy. Cut the cord already.

Agree with this. Realistically, does or can he get to six? If that happens, it may become a discussion in some way, but it really shouldn't because we are not moving forward in a meaningful way. And then you would have to honestly ask, why didn't we get to 8 wins? The answer is that we were not adequately prepared to start the season losing two winnable games.

MD is bad, like real bad and it still came down to the final play. the rest of the schedule we'll probably be underdogs and rightfully so. The guy sucks as a coach, he's just not good and everyone inside the Hale Center can see he's not the answer. He will be replaced or Keli fails. This is not her athletics dept until he is gone, it's as simple as that. Beating Md is like picking on the fat kid because he can't run a 4.5 40 yet somehow people want to look at this a reason to question getting rid of a guy with a .440 win percentage the drops to .37 when you narrow it to p4 and conference foes (that includes 1.0 as well). The fact that anyone is questioning moving in another direction says more about them than the person calling for his removal

we are fortunate to have MD this bad to take the laughter off of us for a week but the perception out there is really poor. We've the money, the mechanism, purpose, and all that remains is the final act. I'm surprised he's not been canned yet

Keli needs to roll up her big boy pants and burn the ships

He’s year to year at best. I want him replaced with coach befitting a B1G team. In the unlikely event he somehow manages to scratch and claw his way to 5 or 6 wins, he returns to being on a scorching hot seat and we chip away at that buyout. The most
Important thing to me is that we get a coach who can win 10 games - if I have to wait another year or two for it, fine, whatever.

If we go 4-2 and actually finish 6-6 and go to some blah bowl, I actually would give Greg 1 more year. Anything less than 4-2 and he must go.

Kelli asked for improvement and we were 5-7 last year. 1 win/year better is fine so in 4 years we can be 9-3… lmao

Correct. And it’s debatable if USF was even a top 25 team despite the ranking but they were indeed ranked.

Chip Kelly’s Offense will roll over Greg’s Defense just like he did with New Hampshire when they visited Piscataway in 2004. The fraudster has lost all Defensive respect. New era begins in 2027.

No...BUT...they all either:

- have elite or very good defenses and/or (Michigan(4), Nebraska(11), Wisconsin (17), PSU (31))
- have an offensive philosophy and QB that Greg's D's typically struggle against and this D, well, ain't very good....

....which is why most logical/realistic observers see a very difficult path to even, let's say, 2 more wins this season.

The only path to winning 4 games in the second half of the season is the following:
- Flawless Offense to outscore opponents set up by Passing that opens the run game (need to score 30+ points, Lonergan has been more consistent with his passes).
- Defense make enough stops to salvage a win
- Play well at home - Need to Steal a win on the road
- Rutgers has nothing to lose, Opponents have the pressure on them.

Anyone thinking we can win more than 1 game the rest of this year is nuts. No wonder this fanbase sucks and loves GS.

My feel for our team at the moment- if the offense is healthy, we can score. The defense, it can have it's moments but it will still always give up the big play when we need a stop and it really looks like no depth. If coaches can find anyway to correct this at all- then we may have some games we can have a shot in.

Really funny in a way that potentially, our best shot at an upset may be PSU.

Imma gonna turn it around on you. Anyone wishing for Rutgers to win no more than one game for their own selfish need sucks and gets what they deserve. Some fans cheer for the team to win, the team being a bunch of young men who signed on with Rutgers. Nothing sucks about wanting to win. All of this is said respectfully, of course.

Polls have shown that the vast majority of the fan base understands it’s time for Greg to go. I believe 85% “it’s over” the last poll/survey done by this site.
