I'd like them to finish 4-7, so they never get rid of TNT and think have a chance if they just tweak training, get a recruit, spend more slum lord money, get the right upper weight coach... or whatever.
mainly cause they will never win a championship with TNT again, and seeing the twins lose their **** every season is just a joy to watch

If Iowa finishes below 5th, I would not be surprised to see a coaching change. Yeah sure its not below 10 but this reminds me a little of the end of the Fran McCaffery era for Iowa MBB. They were never bad as a whole (average at best). But this is the least enthusiastic the fanbase for Iowa has been in a long time. Last year it appeared ticket sales and attendance were down at home meets. There is a lot of apathy from the fanbase which is creating a divide of those who want Brands gone and those who want Brands to stay. And the Brands do not make it easier on themselves with heavy reliance on the transfer portal, lack of development, bad relationships with former Iowa wrestlers, roster mismanagement, you name it.
Asking for a friend here. Is there any way we can get PSU basketball to average on a regular basis?
JB going public with his interest in the job, no matter how kind to TnT he was, puts pressure on TnT to take home a trophy and makes those seats a bit warmer.
If JB is sitting in a corner chair coaching, how often will he expect the refs to let his wrestlers catch their breath by repeatedly pulling up his socks?

I recall when we joined the Big10, the biggest argument on, “why” that I recall was that now we could get good basketball recruits and would have teams like Indiana and Michigan. Holy cow, that was a lie.
That may have been the fans take but for PSU it was about the money they would get from the BIG from the NCAA which was a LOT more than the zero we were earning on our own.
That was how PSU sold the public to give Harrisburg cover for funding BJC.
Remember that a new basketball arena was a conference entry requirement.
I still say that was just a load of hor$e$hit that Jim Tarman used in his final pitch for the Trustees to approve it. I’ve never seen a single credible source, just Tarman‘s claim that teams told him they would not come to Rec Hall.
