As the offensive line coach and offensive coordinator for Texas, does Flood have any responsibility for his performance? Will he be able to survive or will he be the scapegoat for the season?
He's an OC in name only, the whole offense and play calling is Sarkisian.

He's not affecting as OC (because he's not really OC) but he could be affecting it as the OL coach. They can't run the ball that well and IIRC they didn't run the ball so well last year either.

They got a couple good RBs from ASU and NC St and I don't know that they're doing anything special.

A better run game could alleviate some of the pressure of him. I think they've been ranked in the 90s-100s in rushing YPG the last couple years.

I don't like or dislike Texas but they are a hype machine so I just have a long habit of ignoring them. When they hit #1 I know its likely temporary.

The Texas OL is not violent enough. They suffer from VD (Violence Dysfunction). Perhaps there's a pill for that.
Don't tell the Flood DS club this-rumor is that he plays Counting Crows during OL practice sessions. The Counting Crows music is not violent enough. They need some Slayer Reign in Blood or Metallica Kill Em All to stoke the violence in them.

They need more Battery and less Around Here. Their issues are due to the fact that they stay out very very very late.

The blame goes on who put Arch in a position to fail because he misjudged how much talent Arch has.
Flood might get an assist for his OL's pass protecting not being all it should be but Sarkisian must take most of the blame for Manning being such a disappointment and seemingly not the ready for primetime talent he was supposed to be coming out of HS
Then we have AJ Milwee the Longhorns co: OC/QB coach that might deserve far more blame then Kyle Flood for Manning not developing into what he was supposed to be since he picked Texas to showcase his skills

Was listening to a pod and Texas has the 13th ranked rushing attack in the SEC at the moment.

“I don’t think he’s a bum. I still think he’s a good player. He has all the traits. He’s big. He’s athletic. He can make plays. He’s not scared to run the ball. But they don’t have the O-line. The O-line and the run game haven’t been as good.”

Texas ranks No. 101 in rushing. They were No. 90 last year. That has fed into the notion we’ve heard from some coaches that the Longhorns are “soft,” which another coach concurred with: “Their offense has no tough, killer mentality.”

but he’s taken almost as many sacks in six games this year (17) as he did in 13 last year (23)

So an OC in name only gets paid as much as flood does…sure that makes all the sense in the world! 😆😆😆😆
Here's a breakdown from a google search and in name only might fit
>The Texas Longhorns' offensive play-caller is head coach Steve Sarkisian. Sarkisian has continued to call the offensive plays himself rather than handing those duties to an assistant. He has publicly said he is not considering giving up play-calling responsibilities,
Texas does have co-offensive coordinators on its coaching staff:
  • Kyle Flood – Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach. [texaslonghorns.com]
  • AJ Milwee – Co-Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach
Flood was scheduled to earn about $1.45 million and Milwee $700,000.

The Texas Longhorns' defensive coordinator is Will Muschamp, and his reported salary for the 2026 season is $2.7 million per year<

Andy Staples said on a podcast this week that if Sark isn’t fired, he may be forced to hire an offensive coordinator. Similar to what Florida was pushing Napier to do before he was eventually fired.
