The day before is the best day to buy tickets, if you can afford to wait and play it by ear. Plenty of decent tickets on Ticketmaster for resale under $30.

See you guys tomorrow!!!

For some reason I have awful seats - behind 1 of the baskets, 112. Ugh. I mean 208 is pretty high up and in the corner-ish. But I have always hated sitting right behind the basket. I think 112 is at least elevated a little. Oh well. Still going.

SJU playing 3 guys that aren’t confirmed as eligible yet?
LOL at graphic of five key additions to SJU roster with three TBD on whether they can even play. You have multiple G League seasons and five schools in five year guys. Then they’re talked about as a top 12 team. Lol.

You gotta love, or hate, how Pitino tries to win at all costs.

GO RU

Our depth looks good so far.
Encouraged as well. Looking like we won’t see too much of the euros this season. Think we just need to figure out the backup 5. Also think Powers may end up odd man out of the rotation…lots of pieces at the 1-3 spot

Johnnies have missed a couple of chippies, but our D has also been really good, with excellent lateral movement by our guys, cutting off lanes to the hoop.

So nice to watch a team that can put the ball in the bucket.

One of the things I want to see more than anything this season: a reduction in the long stretches Rutgers goes without scoring. Those all-too-normal 6-or 7-minute stretches often were the death knell for the Scarlet Knights.

It looks like the rotation has come along nicely from game 1 to game 2

G Starters Francis, Mark, 3rd Davis, 4th Powers
F Starters Smith, Buchanan, 3rd Jones, 4th Sydnor
C Starter Gurdak, 2nd TBD

FG 17-30, 3pt 2-4, FT 10-13
Reb RU 22-14

Biggest question mark is backup center right now.

We need Francis or Mark out there at all times, and run it through them when they are on the court. The poor stretch we had the wrong people trying to create. And that’s been an issue in the past for Rutgers, glaringly when we’d have Dylan Harper and ace Bailey standing in the corner while J Will or Derkack fail to create anything effective. Hopefully we realize to get it to our guards and let them run the show.
