BUT

It is not overly shocking that Penn St. and Michigan are both in a rough spot. Penn St. was trending this way before Franklin was fired. Michigan spent a gazillion dollars on a QB that is average at best. They tend to play with little discipline and without the magical run, Harbaugh would have been fired!

Underwood played better than average against us. He’s not average “at best”.

He did have a pretty good game against us but that was his best game of the season (minus UTEP).

In his young career he only has 3 more TDs to INTs, which includes this season having 5 TDs to 4 INT. He has run for 2 more TDs but also lost 2 fumbles.

He has only thrown over 200 yards twice and had 101 (Minnesota) and 111 (Oklahoma).

But Michigan does run the ball a lot, so maybe the TDs are coming on the ground? No. Michigan has a worse scoring offense than Iowa. They have scored over 20 points in ONE GAME this year (UTEP) and that was close at half.
Western Michigan (13- 6 on the Hail Mary)
Oklahoma (17)
Iowa (19)
Minnesota (14)

Take away the worst team on their schedule and they average 10.75 points.

What would we be saying if this was our QB? Bacon Hill? Spencer Petras? Cade McNamara?

The numbers are not showing even average. This is why Coach Whit is talking about benching him.

Underwood is horrible. With just average qb play, Michigan is probbly undefeated. Just because stupid boosters invested 12 million in a bust, they are forcing Whit to play him and just destroy their season.

The Kansas City Chiefs finally figured that out.

College or pro, defenses are too good for any offense to be successful one-dimensional. You can’t be successful unless you are able to run the football.

People ridicule me when I say NIL has evened the playing field a little. Iowa is getting more talented players because of NIL. The programs that have gotten hurt by it are FBS schools and mid-majors.
