I love league Championship games; 16 team playoff does not add a week while 24 team format does

With 18 teams in the Big 10 and no championship game there is not going to be a clear league champion s good number of years. Teams that finish with identical records who dont play each other during the regular season will go through a layer of goofy tiebreakers.

Dont expand the CFP past 16 teams as a 16 team playoff takes the same number of weeks or rounds of games as a 12 team playoff, each ends up with 8 teams left after the 1st round of games.

I want to see the top two teams in the league play each other for the championship.

After Alabama got waxed by Georgia last year and didn’t fall out of the playoffs because “you can’t get punished for making the conference championship game” I became pretty disillusioned with those games. If a loss has no real impact on your season then it seems pointless. I’d rather watch an extra round of the playoffs.

It is going to go to 24, but I would disagree with the statement. Conferences are only interested in revenue, and a CCG was the key to the SEC not wanting to expand, it was all based on the amount of money generated by the CCG.

I'm not sure I see the argument, who did you want in, BYU? The reason they were left out was because they were demolished by TT in their CCG. While ND lost to A&M, and Miami. Picking Miami was the right move IMO, and I don't think you take BYU over Bama.

A bigger percentage of dough all goes to the conferences for a league Champ Game

The Conference Championship game we had with MSU years ago was one the hardest hitting games I can remember watching. Guess you can't have both now but that game was something else.

I HATE league championship games. The 24-team playoff is WAY better than 16 and league championship games. IMHO, of course.

Espn is paying an additional 345 million /year on top of 1.3 billion/ yr they are paying currently for cfbp.
Take 340 million and split it out to SEC and BIG 34 programs at 10 million each.
Give the other 5 million to big 12 and ACC.
That should ease the pain of losing conference title games.
