I don’t understand or have kept up on the ruling but is there a reasonable chance that Alex Afari gets to play for the Cats this season? This would obviously be a big addition!
Afari

Did the remanded hearing take place last Friday? If so, when does the trial court plan to issue its new opinion?
Why the chances are slim but not impossible
- He can regain eligibility only if the Circuit Court issues a new, properly granted temporary injunction (or similar relief) and it holds up against further NCAA appeals/challenges. Prior temporary orders have been short-lived.
- Legal processes move slowly relative to the football calendar; the season is already underway, and Kentucky’s linebacker depth has been affected by his absence (and other injuries/absences).
- Reporting and analysis after the October 2 ruling described the remaining path as possible but with “slim” odds due to timing and the NCAA’s successful appeals so far.

If we weren't having such depth issues, id say it isn't worth it. But we are, so we need every body we can get at lb.
KSR caller said yesterday that his hearing is Wednesday at 10AM at Jefferson County Circuit Court with Judge Edwards. Family asked for support.
Cmon judges, give us Afari back!
Damn it would be amazing to get him back now.
It would be a HUGE help. Grant and Bo played their tails off last week but were worn outttt and Bo is great but struggles some in space getting quicker guys to the ground. Alex experience and athletic ability would help a bunch.
I believe if Afari becomes eligible again then so would Trimble for UL and Mitchell for Mizzou.
I'll take Afari for $500, Alex !!!
They all should be eligible if Aberdeen is eligible, and I think other guys got a 5th year in other states right?
Look on the bright side, Mitchell and Trimble being eligible means 2 more losses for Pope, and all the more likely he’s tossed out at the end of the season.
Give it a rest
This would be so big for us as we’re dealing with a very small group there. Barnes is going to be a stud for us but he needs some rest to play to his potential. Would love to get Wallace back as well because we’re going to need those two to finish out this unbelievably tough season. We definitely have a group of young men who play their absolute hearts out for this staff and I couldn’t be more proud of their effort. Can’t wait until Saturday.
