The all-time record for on-campus attendance is 115,109 at UM where capacity is 107,601.
Whiteout attendance on Saturday was announced as 114,419.
A difference of 690 people.

If massive egos and vanity were influencing the numbers, you would think they could easily *find* another 690 people in attendance, no?

Beyond that, PSU's previous attendance record was 111,030 vs OSU in 2024. Does this gigantic new deck on the West side not look like an expansion of at least 3,389 people?

It ain't hard to check.

No, the "new" seats (primarily the upper W deck, and some bleachers) is within 100 seats of the seats lost (primarily the old west upper).
So current total seats are essentially the same as prior to the start of renovations.

You can easily enough go and "count" them (not hard to do - just look at "rows X seats" in each section of the lost vs new - then a few slight add/subtracts where you have the portals and what not. Took maybe 5-10 minutes). The PSU/Ticketmaster site has those all laid out.
I forget the exact numbers - and don't have them in front of me - but I did that earlier, and it is right around 9800 or so (that is OTTOMH) for both "gained" and "lost".

That is how I "know" :)
And math always wins.

To think that after playing in the best atmosphere in sports last Saturday night, we have to play in that toilet in ann arbor (is a w-hore) this Saturday. It will look like a bowl of piss on national TV. For f*ck’s sake.
