Should be a decent game. Will it be a whitewash like last year's 35-0 win? No. Marist has a decent team this year. They'll be fired up. Still this is one Rice should also be up for playing at home to keep a decent seed and I just can't see Marist pulling this one out. Rice 35 Marist 21. Overall series win totals I think is Rice 23 Marist 22 going into this one. So always a good one to come out and see. Best visitor stands EVER!!

I think it will go very similar to games MC and LA had against them. Marist is performing better then most thought with the brotherly QB/WR combo and they will be even better next year but I think everyone had them at 5-4 before the season and that's how it will end up being. They beat the teams they should have. I like BR comfortably 42-17

Forgot to mention that MC beating LA is key to get a 3 way tie in the Blue assuming Rice beats Marist. Separately Rice vs Marist for both the Soph and Frosh crowns - winner takes all on those levels.

Do you see Marist’s success on the lower levels as a sign they are getting more competitive with the big 3?
JCA Freshman were the best I saw this years MC lost to Marist 14-6 on a late TD and BR by 5, JCA dominated them on the ground. One of MCs TDs were on a Kick return.

But to answer your question I think Marist is heading in the right direction. LA has been below average on the lower level the past few years but they seem to become a new team on Varsity. MCs Soph are ultra talented. If they had the 5 players up on Varsity they beat Marist by 2 or 3 scores. BR will be a load, especially offensively, the next few seasons. LA is junior heavy this year so they will be the team to beat next year, followed by Rice with the QB and McGee back, MC will have Thorton, Kennedy, a more experienced OLine and Elliott part 2 at QB, which leaves Marist at 4.....in 2028 they may move from the Blue division but that will be year they start making some noise

Only thing about Marist next year is they still lose quite a bit off this current team. Granted they return their QB and 2 top WRs and one OL. However they are losing Hunt their top RB and pretty much most of starting OL except one. On D, lose quite a bit too - Hosty, Bell, Lorenz, etc. So while they have a decent Soph team - they have 2-3 Sophs up on Varsity, so does Rice - 4 and a Frosh and MC - 5. The other factor I noticed is that Rice, MC and Loyola all have guys Soph to Senior that are getting FBS offers. Haven't seen much among current Marist roster - some FCS stuff but nothing like Rolder, Coogan, Nextor, Brown or Tate were getting.

I haven’t posted much this year but my two cents. With regard to Marist two years ago they had Loyola on the ropes and really should’ve beat them in the playoffs and then last year they were really a talented bunch but decimated w injuries at every position. I still think the best is yet to come w Fitz but if he does t close the recruiting gap I feel like BR and MC will keep gaining ground. Pulaski Score BR 28 Marist 14

Weather / wind could be an issue and that will favor BR.

Also I will give BR credit, they support their lower levels very well. Marist week kicked off with Frosh 'B' Monday night. That's pretty cool for those kids on both teams.
