Duke Humphrey · 2026-10-12T07:48:15-0500

Before its announced around noon today. Reminder, flex is afternoon or night.

Sat, Oct 24	Noon	LSU at Auburn	ABC or ESPN
	Afternoon	Tennessee at South Carolina
	Night	Vanderbilt at Kentucky
	Flex	Texas A&M at Alabama
	Flex	Oklahoma at Mississippi State
	Flex	Ole Miss at Texas

Duke Humphrey · 2026-10-12T07:50:38-0500

6pm ESPN kick would be ideal and possible. 2:30 ABC/ESPN also possible.

BulldogBlitz · 2026-10-12T07:58:22-0500

9 am. We will be running 3rd and 4th stringers by then.

Absolutely not. Stop the negativity. We will still be starting K1. He will have a maroon cast with grey piping so the SPSers dont complain about it being all white.

DesotoCountyDawg · 2026-10-12T08:18:06-0500

11 am

HailStout · 2026-10-12T08:25:15-0500

Like it or not, that ole Miss / texas game is the premier game that day. And they won’t have us playing the same time as them. They won’t play bama the same time as Auburn. Bama pulls more eyes than us. We are going to get the 11 AM slot.

unless flex makes 11 AM not an option like you implied

I believe that Ole Miss - TX game will be at 2:30. That's where they've been putting games like that in the past. I'm optimistic that we'll play at 6.

Who knows what they'll actually do, though.

MStateU · 2026-10-12T08:37:03-0500

It's a flex game. Will be afternoon or night. 11 is off the table.

I'm good with the 3:15 so I am not getting home at midnight. Should be able to uses your flashing lights between the 3rd and 4th quarter through the end of the game.

Where is this rule that flex doesn’t mean morning? There’s an 11:30 timeslot too other than 11 am which looks like it will be LSU.

Maroon13 · 2026-10-12T08:49:00-0500

330pm on sec network. it was already established in the afternoon window.

AU v LSU 11am

Tn v USC 230
State v OU 330. Sec tv

om v Tx 6p
Bama v aTm 6p
UK v Vandy 6p sec tv.

This game was established a flex window game back in the summer.

The Flex window is afternoon or night. That 11:30 timeslot is in the morning window.

The windows are Morning, Afternoon, Night and Flex. The Flex is between afternoon and night.

Ok I know Kentucky is the new darling, but why do they get so many night games?

aGAIN, that night game on SECN is not a premier matchup. It was slotted there at the start of the season because it was believed to be the worst matchup of the day and would draw the worst ratings.

MSUDC11-2.0 · 2026-10-12T09:59:52-0500

I am thinking night game on ESPN or ESPN2.

Bama/A&M and SC/Tenn in the afternoon

OM/Texas in the prime time ABC spot. I think we’ll be semi-opposite of that.

Oh boy, wait until SPS finds out that the OU game is the blackout game

Man I hope we can find a way to win that LSU game. Atmosphere or OU would be insane

Good info. I had no idea this was a thing

MSUDC11-2.0 · 2026-10-12T11:12:53-0500

Auburn and TN Tech are already known to be early kickoff times (11 and 12).

OU and Vandy cannot be 11 am starts. They’ll be either afternoon or night games.

jxndawg · 2026-10-12T11:39:03-0500

My seats are on the east side of the stadium. Up to this point, I've worn whatever colors our athletic department overlords have asked me to wear to games. Having said that, I ain't wearing black if I'm going to be sitting in the sun in the afternoon unless it's going to be in the 60s, tops.

Duke Humphrey · 2026-10-12T12:04:07-0500

The older I get the more I like this time slot. Don’t have to rush to get to Starkville and back home before 10.

Yep. Those late night / early morning drives back are a lot harder than they used to be.

The Peeper · 2026-10-12T14:09:37-0500

Looks like nobody guessed 2:30, great thread!

Per hailstatedotcom, the flex windows available for the OU game are 2:30 - 3:30 or 5:00 - 7:00, so no 11AM game.
