(not flaming) I wish Iowa would schedule power non-conference teams

I'm not taking anything away from Iowa's season, they've been doing their part to win games but I wish your AD in the future would schedule a powerhouse non-conference team, such as BAMA, Texas, LSU, Clemson, etc. etc. on the road. I mean c'mon, Norther IL? Northern Iowa?

I honestly don't think Iowa stands a chance against IU, USC, UCLA, and osu should they manage to play in the B1G championship. There are still a lot of games left to be played, so Iowa might not even reach this far.

Michigan meanwhile still has to play IU, Oregon, UCLA, and osu. Pretty tough schedule if you ask me.

The Hawks shouldn't be playing Northern Iowa but Northern Illinois can be pretty good sometimes. They even beat Notre Dame a couple of years ago.

Big ten schedule is tough enough. I don't think scheduling a powerhouse does them any favors.

Iowa plays Iowa State, a power 4 team from the Big 12. They do that every year as mandated by Iowa Regents and Iowa Legislature. I agree that Iowa should never play an FCS team, but they do that because? Iowa throws in a G6 type school and then plays in the BIG. That's a pretty typical schedule for most if not all P$ schools.

You lost to Western Michigan by being gifted 0:01. Iowa beat you too. Shut your pie hole.

I think Iowa has a very good chance against any team not named OSU. Also, IMO, Iowa played one of their worst games of the season against Michigan and still won, so there's that.

Doing our part to win games? Don't stand a chance against USC or UCLA. Would you have even made this post if Michigan had beat Iowa...I doubt it. If the Big 10 promises to gift us a win when we lose then maybe we should schedule a big name power 4 team on the road. This just appears to be sour grapes imo.

Gotta love a post that that starts "not flaming" and then procedures to flame in the 2nd paragraph.

After losing to the Goofs on the road I don't think MI sniffs the B1G championship, although you have the consolation of likely going 1-3 against 'championship caliber' teams.

And if the Hawks lose to the Goofs in two weeks they don't deserve to play in the B1G championship either.

Michigan gets more blue chip talent in two classes than Iowa get in 10 classes. The programs are different. Go to another blue bloods board and start discussions with them.

Which powerhouse non-con road game did you schedule this year? I’ll hang up and listen.

You play 6 of your first 7 games at home and you literally just lost your only road game to a team that just got curb stomped by freaking Purdue.

Yeah, your team sucks. Sorry.

Well you’ve already lost to Iowa and Minnesota. So no one going to have any pity with your schedule of upcoming games.

I guess I would care of your opinion, but Michigan is dragging down our strength of schedule.

Worst attempt at passive aggressive trolling ever , I thought Nebraska had the market cornered for most close line breeding per capita and impairment caused from said frolicking but I guess I never had encountered enough Michigan Folks , I should have known tho after seeing Dave Portnoy displays

Iowa plays 10 P4 teams each year. until this year, most of the $EC only played 8.

A 'developmental' team like Iowa (who doesn't have 60 4 & 5 star players on team, like Mich and many others), absolutely NEEDS a couple games in which we can play the bench a little.

WE ARE NOT NEBRASKA, INDIANA, etc in playing ZERO P4 out of conference games. So go flame over there my friend, or the $EC teams playing Towson St 4x a year.

And the BIG has a rotating schedule, so we play what they give us each year in the BIG. No control there. Schedule makers this year did us no favors this season starting with MICH, O$U, and Wash, with 2 on the road.

But... I wish... mecheatagain would hire coaches for their fb team that don't cheat and get caught and immediately abandon the team and program.. or bang office girls and lie about it and then stalk them. That'd be my wish...
