Out with a whimper. I am now convinced that Hurts won’t be an Eagles after next season. He’s just awful without an All Star cast. He can’t even make a hot read.
Blow it up and tank this season. The Barkley trade rumors may have some truth.
Use the season to get looks at young guys. Bite the bullet with Hurts and plan to move on after next season.
Build for the next window.

Elliott in for a 48-yard FG attempt, with 0:12 left ...
The kick is GOOD!!!!!!!!
17-16, Birds, with 0:08 left

Kicking to allow return is the worst coaching decision I've seen in a long time.
Big mistake by Lemon going OOB on his catch. Elliot’s FG should have been the last play of the game.
So was all the passing once they were in FG range. One run there and the FG gets attempted as time expired.
It’s always the worst coaching decision. You either kick it it deep or squib. You. Never allow for a return in that situation
Lose to USC on Saturday, and then lose partially as a result of a dumb mistake by a USC rookie. F#$& the Trojans!
I mean at this point all you can do is laugh. More injuries, sputtering offense (although signs of life), TERRIBLE call to kick to a team that already took one back even though it was called back…..
All you can do is laugh….. or drink heavily.
I do have to say, though, I do feel optimistic. The defense finally came to life and played well. The offense showed a couple drives of the promise that they have. Third string center, third string left guard, and at one point had their backup tackle playing guard. Not to mention fourth string running back. To even be that close against a very, very good Jacksonville team is encouraging.

RE: McClane's statement - What?????? Nothing to be ashamed of. Are you kidding me? Stupid coaches call to kick to them instead of into endzone, and then Eagle's special teams give up a big KO return setting up the field goal. Anything the Eagle's did well today totally erased in the last 8 seconds of the game. Totally disgusting!
