.....NIL spending equating to wins and Playoffs is wildly overblown. You certainly need a somewhat competitive NIL budget (i.e., top decile - which is roughly 25ish), but how you spend the money (i.e., talent evaluation) is still more important than absolute size of the budget.

So many teams going down LSU now with two losses. There will be some two-loss teams in the college football playoff. Maybe even one or more three-loss teams. Upsets galore so far and it's only week six.

NFL Teams with multiple losses make the playoffs. This has become pro football. You still need elite talent to reach the top. PSU has little and it isn't in the 2027 class either. By the way, Campbell's clock management is putrid.
