I’m sorry what did Beamer do to save his job today? This just confirms the team has the talent to blow out SEC teams on the road, but blows leads at home to MSU and UK.
One things for sure, if RTR were still AD, Shane would be signing a new, lengthened contract with a healthy raise tomorrow am!
UF is a media favorite. The press wants them to be good, so they rank them above what they deserve.
He thrashed UF in their stadium? That's good start. We haven't done that but once before.

You’re missing my point. This is what we get with Beamer. Volatility. I would have been more impressed if it was a close game and Beamer made a great call or something. The team won that game. It has been, and will continue to be, bad stretches sprinkled with a good win or stretch. The playoff chances are already gone. How does this make up for Kentucky? How quickly you forget this is the first SEC win in over a year.
Right. Beamer will lose the games he's supposed to win and then steal one and make everyone say: Where has that team been all year? And think if only we'd played this good all year.

1) the entire game-day crew picked Florida. (can’t blame them, so did I)
2) it was an SEC away game at the Swamp.
3) it was Florida’s home-coming and we made them our queens.
4) Two former Spurrier teams… And Spurrier was there.
Hopefully someone rescued Steve and is bringing him back to Columbia!

Not only did they pick UF, they already had the picks done ahead of time and didn't even discuss the game. It was a foregone conclusion in their minds - they just flashed it up on the screen and kept going. "Move along, nothing to see here."

Even last night ESPN had Florida at a 90+ win percentage. Based off our prior games it was an accurate estimate.

USC football is like a box of chocolates...
We've beaten UF in Gainsville 3 out of 20 tries and two of those were Spurrier so I seriously doubt anyone was looking at this as a W coming into the game?.
More impressed if it was a close game? The staff put together a great gameplan obviously. Would far prefer that.
Volitilty is USC Football. Outside of Spurrier, Beamer has done as good a job as coach at the school since being in SEC.
We've been on a dry spell but mostly competitive against teams with better talent.
Today was a good break thru game. Let's hope for continuation.
He has won some big games for us since he arrived.
He did nothing today that would save his job IMO. I’m fine waiting until the end of season to lower the buyouts but he still needs to be terminated.
Donati would be wise to not give an extension until this program has demonstrated continued sustained success.
I agree, they are not as good as advertised. That said, after the first couple of series Sellers and our secondary played much better yesterday. Also, much credit to the staff for that win, especially under such scrutiny.

When has sustained success happened in history beside a 3 year run (pre-NIL).
If retained, he'll likely get at least a one-year extension.

I think he's under contract through 2030, and with the NIL / portal..... no reason to extend a coach beyond 2 years anyway. This ain't the days of old. Edit to add: And no one is coming to try to steal Beamer away anyway.
Everyone is so caught up in the win. Beamer should be fired today, right this minute for having this team underperforming all year. Zero excuse as to why that haven't played inspired football or been able to finish a game except the coaching. There's some great talent on this team.
Still plenty of games to climb your way out of a hole. Don't hate me cause you ain't me. You to can sport this incredible design
