All these years later to beat them on the West Coast, in their house no less, is kinda cathartic actually. Feels good.
Of all the things football teams want to do...rushing attack travels really well.

This game felt like the opposite of 1991 Rose Bowl (less the horrible calls). In both games the winner was never really in doubt. (Except for breif moments)
Feels good to get the West Coast monkey off our back - especially now that we have 4 new WC teams in the BT.
Not to take anything away from that absolute rag doll treatment we just gave Washington.
But this team beats that Washington squad 10 out of 10 time. Not usually a thing that's said about KF teams, as we can usually lose to about any power conference team...
That Washington team is SOFT on both sides of the ball. Thoroughly enjoyed watching our Hawks physically abuse the puppies for a full 60.

A long time, Big Ten teams definitely don't play a lot of regular season games on the west coast. The trips I remember out that way have definitely been a little ugly though, that's for sure.
Dont forget when Hayden and Hawks clobberKnocked them in the Sun Bowl and Wash was tied for first or in second place in the Pac 10. Wash has a very good history of football so they are hard to beat many times
Kirk knows when to run the ball winning or losing to eat time, run less plays to minimize injuries. Coaches who think highly for their players do that, the Wash coach had no chance of winning with a minute or even 2 minutes to go down 41-18. It would have been bad to have a bad injury but his players were ok padding their stats
I was there . Filmed sed Shaw afterwards, well his mom, holding the trophy for player of the game. VHS. Need to digitize that film
