Over the past 40 years, I have successfully converted my wife from a non-sports fan to an avid supporter of NU Athletics and a rabid supporter of the hoops team.

On October 27 at 6:30pm, she will holding an event in Evanston at the Richard Devereaux Foundation Room in the Deering Library.

Her book is called ENVY: Why Wanting What They Have is the Key to Getting What You Want. Through research, her life experiences and exercises, she helps readers discover how to harness their own envy. Rather than a deadly sin, envy can be a force for good, guiding us to what we truly want?

Why is this connected to NU basketball? She has a chapter focused on Brooks's injury and his support of Nick ascending to his lead role. She interviewed Brooks Barnhizer, Nick Martinelli, Matthew Nicholson, their mothers, Coach Brian James, and our own Matthew Shelton.

I believe there is a Northwestern Football exhibit in the library will you'll also be able to see.

The event celebrates the book launch and NU Athletics. It will support student scholarships within the Weinberg School of Arts & Sciences. Please attend if you can and Go Cats!
