Holtz: we suck. Couldn’t beat a convent of blinds nuns. And that team we play Saturday Wofford, they are scary athletic.

I remember a Friday pregame presser before a Georgia game when Blake Mitchell was running the scout team in practice, Holtz at the mic looking like his dog had just died saying ‘Blake Mitchell is the best quarterback I’ve ever seen.’

He never said that ever. But I never thought you were better than that.

I don’t know whether to call it sad, unfortunate, amazing, or what, but it’s evident that many current fans don’t understand or appreciate the magnitude of getting Steve friggin Spurrier. And STILL….

Go cocks.

Gamecock football was able to break Steve friggin Spurrier. That is both sad and amazing.

He quit the Skins before he came here & coached in the AAF after he left here. Steve did what he wanted. No one broke him.

If you recall his last game here was against lsu on a Sunday because it was moved there due to the mega rain event we had here. The statements he made in the post game presser were 100% accurate.

“You saw it. Their guy breaks seven tackles (completely true) and our guy goes down as soon as he’s touched” (also completely true, referring to what David Williams did the whole game). It was disgusting; team was going through the motions. I guess he reasoned that if they didn’t give a crap then he didn’t either; I can understand that.
