At 5-2 overall and 3-0 in the conference, Morehead has reason to be excited, especially after posting 2-9, 2-9 and 0-10 records the last three seasons.
The Panthers have outscored their three conference opponents 133-2 but they realize those opponents were Carver, Bartlett-Yancey and McMichael, who have a combined overall record of 3-15. The toughest part of the schedule starts Friday.
The RC game will be a toss up but I predict they won't be competitive vs Reidsville or Walkertown. The combined records of their 4 non conference opponents is 12-12. NE Guilford is responsible for 5 of those 12. That set of Rams hammered the Panthers 50-7. Folks in Eden should prepare to get rammed "again."
