I'd say Downey is more of an outside chance to AA
And I believe Schubert will beat him.
One of closer scores of the night but controls the match.
Downey's best wins- Although a lot more at 157

1. Taylor- Champ
2. Blaze- Runner up
3. Araujo- 165
4. Ruiz - 165
5. Chittum
6. Robb
7. Fish
8. Chumbley

Schubert

1. Pinto
2. Baumann
3. Espinoza- Owens
4. Gaitan
5. Simma

Schubert beat 2 time AA Wask in CKLV finals last year and then lost to Wask 2-1 OT in the blood
Looked up some of Wask career at Blair. He took out 2 different Wyoming Seminary kids in Arnold & Schubert. Unless I missed some has actually beaten Arnold 2x and Schubert 2x. Then beat Arnold again in college at SS so 3x.

But Patrick Kennedy certainly had his number and beaten him decisively 3x.

To play devils advocate on the Gabe Arnold will show offense now at his ideal weight. He hasnt ever shown any offense vs Wask in high school or at 174 in the SS. He may just have Gabe's number. Or Gabe's offense at 174 is a mythical creature?

Gabe knows his defense is so good when he wrestles other top 10 guys he's gonna pick his spots and not take a bad attack that allows for a reattack. I think we see him be more offensive against guys outside the top 10. Wask is very athletic and STRONG and never gives up anything easy . Wask is an awesome kid and a great wrestler hes a favorite of mine

I think Pitt is going to be a good dual

125 Tyler Chappel is a NQ, long, tough on top, good early test.
133 Evan Tallmadge had some good wins last year, beat Ethan Oakley, do you see Crookham on the mat in December?
141 Briar Priest is a NQ, I see a one TD match
149 Kal Miller NQ
157 Finn Solomon is a NQ, coming back from injury but has some solid wins, beat Quinn Kinner
165 Jared Keslar is a NQ, beat Mac Church last year
174 Bode Marlow probably gets the go off a RS, top 80ish recruit
184 Chase Kranitz NQ...1 TD match?
197 Mac Stout ...and no Big Mo this year
285 Pitzer

More closer to toss up matches than meets the eye. I know we can all joke and say "NQ from the ACC right", but they have a scrappy group that have won some matches.

I’m hoping AF does better than a 1 TD match against a NQ. This is his opportunity to practice his many TD maneuvers…I’m thinking at least a MD.

8 wins to 2. Potentially 9-1

If both teams are at full strength, this will not be close. Several of those guys didn't qualify for the NCAAs last year, and when they did in years past, they had little or no success.

Iowa shutout Pitt last year with much of these NQ and a majority weren't close to 1 takedown. I think Shubert will be in a battle, Cali only Majored their 65 but if I remember right he was wrestling a guy who had no intention of wrestling or mixing it up. If Ludington pulls it off against Stout, that would be a huge upset but if Mo can do it, it can be done. A healthy BK easily beats Pitzer, Mocco might struggle against the vet. I see 7-3 worst case and hoping Crookham is starting for this one.

Crookham won’t be wrestling first semester
