I was in Tampa this week. Walking the river walk with my State tshirt, I got a roll tide from a construction worker.

You are correct that he has tremendous upside and we need to be patient...buuut..He literally dropped the ball and threw two bad interceptions that weren't due to some magnificent secondary play. Not saying we would have won, but 21 points gift wrapped to Bama was a killer. Missing Evans all alone on the sideline was a momentum destroyer. Yes, I know he wan't 100 percent but we have all seen other teams' QBs rising to the challeng over and over as we usually make their highlight reels.

But he did not play well yesterday overall. It happens to everybody.

I’m not down on him. He was dinged up and facing a difficult challenge. We all know we need an upgrade in personnel particularly in the trenches. Until that happens it’s going to be a struggle against the big boys.

He is a sophomore. Yesterday wasnt the first time he played poorly. Remember South Carolina. We spotted them. Was off against Missouri also but made up for it in the 4th.

Over 200 yards passing with 3 TDs and no run game to keep them honest. Even when he has a bad game with multiple turnovers, he kept competing. I have zero issues with him. We are lucky he is our QB.
